Thread: I don't know if I should be sickend or saddend...

I know we have been over this before, but this just seemed to refresh my anger that jedi are so prevalent and get so much love, and we get nothing. In the past week there has probably been 15 or so threads about the knight trials, or getting knight, or anything important with jedi on my servers boards. I hate seeing the "PAYING 2 MIL FOR LOCATION OF GRAUL MARAUDER!" threads. I realise that they worked hard to get there, but there has to be a less annoying way.

Jedi just are not supposed to be this numerous at this time in SWG, I mean, just today there is thread on my servers boards that is titled "Challenge To ALL Light Knights or Padawan who think they're worthy..."I mean, if in Star Wars a jedi put that message out on the holonet, Vadar would hunt him down and permanently relieve him of his breathing privleges. I would love to see Vadar spawn in the middle of cnet or some big jedi get together, and just kill them all a few times, maybe that would make me feel better.

/sigh

/rant off

I really think it would be funny if out of nowhere.. Vader or even Fett just showed up and ganked a Jedi...

Maybe the Jedi could get a badge to make up for his XP loss..

I've had many discussions with my guildies about Jedi and the fact that SOE should impliment Vader to kill the jedi. My thought is Vader can spawn anywhere at anytime. If you're a jedi then you're on Vaders list. If he kills you then you lose your Jedi forever. Think that will limit the number of jedi running around? lol I'd be like ooh, Vader's attacking a Jedi! Go Vader! Woot!

Anyways. Yes I'm very anti-jedi and can't stand seeing publishes and patches for jedi. Hate seeing jedi cry and whine over this and that because they died because of something that should have killed them in the first place. If SOE decided to get rid of Jedi I might just give them a pat on the back. I say might because they did allow people to try for jedi in the first place.

I stand by my opinion that if Knights were only Overt to Knights of the other side, and NOT to everyone at all times, you wouldn't see so much of them.

Why?

Because they can actually hide. As is, being perma Overt, they can't afford to NOT have their saber and robes at all time, because at any moment pretty much ANYONE could attack them, whereas Padawan only have the occasional BH to worry about, so they tend to hide much much more.

Really, an Overt without armor... 9 times outta 10, it's a Jedi.

Something of an idea, Fake Armor. Armor that looks like UBese/cOmp whatever, but has no stats whatsoever. But Jedi can wear it and continue to fight. this allows them to look more like the average guy running around in circles. If this, plus their perma-OVert status being removed, were to happen...

I'm quite confident you would see far fewer Jedi running around.

(I just have no clue how this Fake Armor could be made... tailors possibly? would also allow those who happen to like the look of a certain armor to have that look, without having to worry about enc or the stats or anything, or prolly much cost for that matter.)

I'm sick of Jedi too. Seeing Vader, Fett and even Luke Skywalker kickingsome asswould be cool. If the Jedi gets killed,he should definitelylose XP. Maybe even two or three timesthe amount. Jedi should have a miniscule chance of survivng or else they would just run whenever one showed up. They could get a badge that said "Survived Vader" or something. On the outside chance that one of the Jedi incapped one of the NPCs, they should get a special color crystal or some other trophy. I think perma-death is a little much.

i think perma-death would be great. yes i hate the fact taht jedi are here. But. back when permadeath was in the game the jedi that were here were scared to fight period because of the perma-death. and the ones that did fight as soon as the tides turned on them (i'm talking pvp here, remember romulus and ons and the first jedi out there?) they used force run 3 and were out of there in no time.

But perma death would limit who's out doing what. right now if a jedi dies they lose some xp. big whoopdy doo. i've heard many jedi say that they could careless if they lose xp because they're at a certain level. what does that tell you?

If they get reset to zero XP and have to start all over, I could support that. Or did you mean to entirely erase the Jedi at death? You are right though, you dont see a lot of Jedi track stars any more. One thing, I think, would be to totally beef up BH. Now most Jedi hunters aren't Master BHs. They get investigation 3 and master a melee prof. Jedi should still be badass, but BHs should be able to at least use scatters and LLCs against them.

yeah, that would be good. to see some Master BH actually fighting a jedi. but then that goes straight into the profession revamps and we all know where that leads us to lol.

on the permadeath. Yes they should reset back to zero. But as much as I hate jedi I would throw in my support for complete removal of the jedi character if he dies a certain number of times. lol

Be saddened that this game can make you sickened... things should have never gotten this way.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Or turns him into a something useless...and I'm not going to finish this thought.
