Hi, just a quick question as I've just reached novice smuggler.
Whats the best aim for armour combined with looking cool?
At first I wanted to go Ubese, but find you cant get the bracers on AND a gunman's duster (which is the weirdest restriction I've ever seen).
I want the duster, but I don't want to get completely murdered whenever I fight something. Is there a happy medium? what armour can I wear with the duster and still be tough?

I didn't think you could wear a duster over any armor that covers the body or arms.... If i'm wrong let me know ASAP

you sir are correct! Dusters don't allow armor except legs and boots, gloves and helm

I'm without armor most time, only if I want to face the real hard ones I use it.
I also haven't found a real smugglerish looking armor yet, I prefer to combine all armortypes I can wear without penaltys ( thats battle and recon, also I am able to wear assault too ^^), to get rag-like look. good combinations are parts of marauder, ubese and tantel added a bit of reb battle if ya reb, or one or two parts of imp faction armor for imp smugglers.
the outfit shall look like ya just put on all things ya were able to get ya hands on.
Ok, if it's time for Krayts, or Necrosis etc it must be a well crafted full sett of the best ya can get, but the rag-armor styl is best for show AND usefullness!

The recon maurader armor would be the best suited as a "smuggly" type armor, if the devs would ever follow through with everything they said about the CU. For those that didn't see it, you almost look like a ninja with the helmet on.

My armor is a mix-n-match of pieces. The chest, arms and pants are tantel. Boots, gloves and helmet are ubese. I just wished that there was more assault armor choices then composite or the steroid-stormtrooper armor, I'm an imp so rebel armor is not usable for me. But if you are imp probably the best looking full outfit armor is the scout trooper armor.

I should mention, the only armor I'm currently wearing is ubese gloves, for the looks.
turns out crowd controllers don't have much use for armor on a day to day basis.
for a real fight, I'd just use a full set of good armor.
like rebel assault armor, the best damn armor ever.
