Hello all,
I am a devout Smuggler, I'm also a jedi, though that is not some 1337 love for power, instead I saw it as a way to facilitate a goal which was content, I was bored out of my mind with SWG and had been finding it difficult to stay smuggler for that length of time. I needed something to do, I even mastered pilot 5 times before I even started jedi... (I redid Smugglers Alliance 3 times
)
Well we also know that the Smuggler community is(was) the best community in the game. Ever since the /respec was activated there has been a decline in the community standards. It can be blamed on many things, the CU, the constant "soon" pains(at least those who have been a smuggler for longer than 6 months). However some of us fail to see that the real problem is the mind set of the community, that we all need to constantly whine about one thing or another, and it has been happening more and more. In essence to be an adult is to be able to accept responsibility for your own mistakes.
As it stands jedi are recieving a lot of our attention, and rightly so (remember when Smuggler revamp was slatted for publish 10?), that hatred does nothing to help further the game, ourselves, our community, our pie making skills, it does nothing but hands you a shovel, when you want to build. When we spend half our time talking about how much we hate one part of the community (and I've seen some big names in the forums doing it), we are losing a battle. The battle of our ability to stand strong and loyal with our fellow smugglers. Staying focused on OUR profession is what is important, not what's going on in the jedi/bh/ranger forums.
Please all take that this to heart, don't just over look it and continue on with your nerf talk.
That and we need more Pies
