I dont know if this has been brought up before. but in order to be true smugglers. we need the FP sales revamped. basically we should be able to sell all FP. what needs to happen is in our master box, give us the ability to sell rebel, and imperial FP,and so we dont have to becolonel , give us the default 1.18 ratio. that way we can sell to anyone. it doesnt make sense. smugglers should be able to deal on both sides of the fence with out having to be colonel for the delgation penalty.

Well you can sell for both sides, you just have to switch sides.

I disagree with your argument about efficiency. A colonel would have much greater influence and connections within her own faction and therefore be able to influence decision makingto a greater degree(and hence with greater efficiency) than some rogue smuggler with virtually no ties.

Its a trade off and one that works very well IMHO.

well thats just it, a Colonel smuggler just doesnt make sense.. there is no difference between a Colonel that is a smuggler VS any one else. make it so we get a bonus then at colonel. i sell someone 10k fp they turn around and sell it for the same penalty cost. we should be unique in delegating faction and right now we are not. only thing special we do is buy it. anyone can sell fp. so why should we be a colonel to do it. if we had the ability to sell fp at the 1:18ratio and not be a colonel then that would be a true smuggler. and then we can switch sides as often as we want to, and sell to both sides. that would at least be some sorta smuggling.

I think smugglers should get an effectiveness bonus, like 10% or so, but keep the current numbers for effectiveness in place.

I see buying faction as essentially bribes/blackmail etc etc. That is the smuggler role. And it doesnt matter what your rank is. Being inspired can reduce that cost of course.

I see delegating faction as using your influence to help someone else. This could be anyone.

Given the above, it makes sense to me that any member of a faction could help another person gain influence/standing in that faction and the higher ranking you are the easier that task becomes.

Again, I think the system works perfectly the way it is. I chose to be an imperial colonel, knowing full well that limits my faction sales to imperials only but making me very good at it due to my imperial influence.
