Thread: Feign Death Observation

I successfully feigned death in pvp against a jedi last night. and he used force choke to get me out of it. so it trully has no use in PVP anymore. hell i was more surprised that it worked. is anyone else having better luck with getting it to work.

The only time I used FD in PvP was about a week after CU. I was doing a faction sale in Bestine and while waiting to be on leave a couple rebel smuggler ladies showed up. I hit FD and there was nothing they could do to me. Now this may have changed in the last publish so your new milage will vary. I remember seeing a fan fest post were the devs were made aware that FD was working now in PvP and they said something like "We'll have to fix that"

yeah i was doin an fp sale when i jedi showed up. so i thought FD would save me but no. it was usless i died.

Yes, but that I believe was pre-CU when FD had 100% success rate and it was being abused as a "I don't lose" move. They changed it in CU to be 50% success at master, which is now more of "I'm praying I won't lose".
Another thing to note is even if you fail you will now flop to the ground and it looks like you succeeded but unless you watch the messages you won't know you've actually failed.

Didn't they say somewhere already that FD was specifically for PvE only and not intended for PvP at all? Maybe that was while I was dreaming but I'm sure I read that somewhere one this forum...

yeah that is the way it is supposed to be. but i cant compete against a jedi, so my only option then is to die a smugglers death i guess.
