I'm in it right now....the persuasian line requires medic skills, and I don't think I can do it with just the novice I have right now. In fact, checking this thread the answer is that yes, you require master medic.
I'm probably going to go for accuracy or survival right now. I'll decide in the morning, I think.
This link would be important, I think, to know what order to do quests. I figure I should add it here for everyone.

Good info... but a little hard to understand. 5 stars for posting it.

Fortunately I have master medic...now if only the freaking old man would show up. He must be on vacation for the past two days.

i thought the whole point of the new system was to get rid off having to jump from profession to profession?

Well in order to do the QUEST to get the tree to USE the xp in, you have to have medic.

Bah....we shouldnt have to grind outother professions in order to do something that we rightfully should havebeen able to do in the first place.
Besides no self respecting Smuggler would be caught dead dancing in a cantina
unless of course that Smuggler was an attractive female Twi'lek...or possibly human.

Reason being is that the quest revolves around healing NPCs in phase one, and requires medicines that need a *lot* of experimentation done to them. The devs decided that instead of letting people who have no chance of finishing the quest open the tree, they'd just make it so that you had to have a level of that profession high enough to get through it. It does make sence.
