Thread: They finally got me

I first became a smuggler last august well before anyone had heard of a holocron. I refused to drop it no matter what. After every nerf I adapted and improved.
I made through my holo and 16 more professions and then stopped because I refused to give up smuggler on the chance it may unlock.
So you can imagine how excited I was when the new system was announced, I would be able to go after jedi using the skills I chose and not some random ones.
So I became glowy, killed some sith and made it to the village.
I converted my free trees and and the rest of my xp, dropping master pistoleer in the process, no big deal that was just a support prof anyway.
Then I get to looking around and realize that I cannot unlock the tree to use my slicing/spice xp unless I'm a master medic. Then I see after using 14 some odd pnts in the fs trees already I can no longer keep tka and smuggler. So I had to ask my self a question, which is more useful and the answer was by far tk.
So this is what its come down to tonight I had to drop smuggler after everything else it was one of the things I actually wanted to happen that killed me, maybe I'll come back or maybe I'll just go on and use a working profession like doctor. Either way the damage is done my tag is off for the first time in over a year.

I hear ya.
When I first bought SWG (pre-ordered before launch) I had already decided that smuggler was the prof I was shooting for.
Myself, I dabbled in many other things but always kept that master smuggler title in my sights.I think it took me about 3-4 months to actually getit. Since then I have had a similar disposition - Always and forever master smuggler. I ground through a couple holos, even tried out the master smuggler/master BE combo (what a disaster) but I am happy to say I have not yetdropped my master smuggler tag and I'm not sure I ever will.
I hate the grind and can't see myself grinding these loads of xp and using up skill points to become a jedi. All in all I think I will probably just grind through a few of the fs powers to enhance my current skills, but then again who knows ......maybe the call will be to strong and I'll drop my beloved proffession.
