Annoying, bold, yellow, important, pre-reading note: This story is my character's bio in game. Obviously, what you see below is too long to all be in my bio at once, so it is broken up into parts. The parts of each chapter don't flow together, nor are they really meant to. It is meant to be like reading snippets of the chapter. I would love for the character limit in our bios to be larger so I could make each part more detailed, but unfortunately you get what you get.
Anyway, I think I'm nearing the end of Chapter 1, and I thought I would see what some people think of it so far. I hope you enjoy it
Chapter 1:Another dirty jail cell
I woke up to the familiar sound of a body hitting the floor. All bodies make a similar noise, even the still living ones, even the ones that just dove for cover. I could barely see past the steel door of my cell, it was so dark, but I caught a glimpse of a blaster barrel near the cell across from mine. I slowly rose, a task in and of itself in that hole, and made my way towards the front of my cage. I could hear whispers, somebody was busting the guy out... they were part of the Rebel Alliance... but they needed a distraction and had too few men left alive to pull it off without them all getting shot.
"Need a hand?" I asked, drawing a smile across my face.
"Who're..." started the Rebel Trooper, but he was cut off by his jailed comrade.
"That's Kaern," the enthralled Rebel said, "he's a Smuggler; slicker than a greased up Durni. What do ya say Kaern? We'll take you with us if you help bust me out."
"Well, I can't say the Empire's treated me well enough to refuse," I said.
Chapter 1: Another dirty jail cell(part2)
"Alright, we all know our roles," the Rebel trooper whispered, "now let's get you two out of those cells."
He raised his blaster to the cell's locking mechanism; I almost didn't speak up fast enough to stop him. "Whoa, whoa, bad idea," I hissed, trying to keep my voice down. "Give me that blaster before you get yourself thrown in a cell too."
The trooper didn't trust me, but I guess I can't blame him. He cautiously handed me his blaster, and I immediately began disassembling it. The Imperial Stormtroopers that arrested me found all of my laser knives, so I needed to fashion my own to slice the cell locks. The trooper didn't appear to pleased that I was dismantling his weapon, but after he saw me slice open both cell doors in under five minutes he calmed down a bit.
"Great, now, can you put my gun back together" he asked nervously.
"Hrm, you probably should've mentioned beforehand that you wanted it back in one piece," I replied, trying to hold back a smirk.
Chapter 1: Another dirty jail cell(part3)
The dull thud, followed by sputtering crackle, of a blaster bolt hitting metal sounded inches from my head. I took a sharp right turn into a long hallway; my companions weren't far ahead. We could see the exit to the cell block before us, but we knew that path would be full of Stormtroopers who would be less happy to see us than the ones already chasing us.
"You just HAD to dismantle my blaster didn't you Kaern?" the Rebel Trooper snapped at me.
"If I hadn't these troops would've been on us 10 minutes faster," I retorted.
The lead Rebel, my now ex-prisoner companion, signaled to us that he found the roof access, "Once we're up there we can get to the docking bay easily, right Kaern?"
I nodded, and we ascended to the roof top. The Stormtroopers weren't to be lost that easily, and we were soon receing a hail of blaster bolts from the courtyard below. I dove behind a vetilation duct, narrowly escaping three well aimed shots. I looked up, but my companions were gone.

Nice!
It captures the smuggler's plight in a few paragraphs.
We're criminals, we're admired, we're untrusted, we make do with what we have, and we're screwed over by the 'good guys'.
