Thread: Pub11: GCW Revamp, Smuggler, and Combat Balance?

I was cruising throughthe actual sitewith nothing to do this morning since I was skipping my first class and I ran across the In Concept page. First time in a while and I noticed they changed something...
It describes Publish 11 as the GCW Revamp. But...what about the Combat Balance? I don't know if they're putting them in the same publish or not but it comes to mind that I saw it somewhere where they were. I could be wrong though.
Now here's what got my attention. At the bottom was the same old "Smuggler Revamp" thing. Assuming that we are there not as a footnote but as part of Publish 11, does that mean we are going to be riding the coat tails of a Publish containing a revamp of the entire Galactic Civil War structure and possibly the Combat Balance itself?
That's an awefull lot of stuff to push out and still expect a quality revamp for our profession. Now, I could see them releasing the Combat Balance in Publish 11 and then Publish 12 being the GCW and Smugglers. Like...how Smuggling can be associated with it by smuggling items through Imperial Blockades and the like (even though I'd rather be slipping past CorSec or Naboo Security).
Also I guess this could be onebig waste of time since I'm now running late for my second class which I actually need to attened (Accounting sucks a fat one). The Smuggler Revamp title and description could just be there to appease us and to say "Look, you're still on the list".
I'm hoping it's the latter, cause even with all our delays, I dunno if I'd like to see if they could try and do a quality revamp with the 2 biggest changes ever in one publish. I'd rather wait a month, unfortunately.

I wouldn't believe anything you see on the main pages about publishes. Publish 11 will most likely be a patch to allow non-JTLbuyers to interact with JTL buyers. JTL will bring vast changes to the way things work, new professions, new races. All of this needs to interact with people who have not purchased JTL. Sure, those that don't purchase JTL won't be able to call a spaceship from their datapad, or follow a group onto a Millenium Pigeon, but they have to be able to interact with the new Ithorians, deal with Master Shipwrights selling ship deeds on vendors and such.
They have said that GCW and Combat Balance won't occur till after JTL. And that any other profession changes will occur after that. A lot of profession changes will take place during the GCW and Combat Balance patches.
Smuggler love will come somewhere down the road on Publish 15 or later. Don't even bother thinking about it till next year.

I actually believe two out of the three. But the smuggler revamp I'm sure not going to get all excited about AGAIN, untill it is actually live, I've played it and convinced myself I'm not dreaming.

That is wise advice right there. Just play the game as it is and have fun, and when they actually do change something we will all be pleasantly suprised.
