Okay FD nerf I'll be sure to look that up because i'm not seeing the irony or humor in that wookie-breath.

Hehe, just saying that asking about a Jedi thing (I know FS is different than Jedi) with some of the tempers still flaring around here is kind of funny. I feel the same way about the 3 people that seem to want to know all of the sudden if Smuggler is worth picking up. It's just one of those things that had you asked at another time wouldn't get any notice, but right now it runs the risk of raising some ire.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

ranged speed and accuracy are broken now, but they'd be useful otherwise. Luck would be good. Depending on how optomistic you are about the smuggler revamp, some of the crafting skills might be interesting also.

Vehicle control works -- you do accelerate and decelerate a bit faster, and your turning is HUGELY improved... You can nearly lay a swoop on its side!

Seems like a smuggler-ish skill to me... But then, I just like swoop racing!

Sad really... how Smugglers can only go for the combat FS skills (and maybe the crafting ones too, I'm not sure). I really wanted Pursuasion (spelling?) and Luck... they sounded like perfect Smuggler skills to me.

Just wondering if any FS skills would benefit a smuggler. Mainly I heard Persuasion on the Sense Tree would reduce the cost of FP items?

From the way he was piloting the M.Falcon, I'd say Han Solo maxed out the Luck tree.

So the answer is yes.

LOL... I get one starred and the guy who posts about luck gets nothing.

The only thing luck does is increase the amount of credits you loot, that's it.

yup effects nothing else

persuasion also is currently broken and does nothing plus you must have doc 0/0/0/4 inorder to unlock it or at the very minimum master medic.

I picked up ranged speed, ranged accuracy, ranged defense, melee defense, (since the devs were not kind enough to give us mods) and also vehicle control (seems to do nothing) and survival (for terrain neg but dunno if that works)

Originally I looked into luck and persuasion but with smuggler both need to be ground out by slicing and neither effect anything a smuggler does really

SMuggler is actually the only profession that can get every FS-Skill by itself if it is helping, is another question. Persuasion, Luck, Vehicle Control and Ranged speed/defense would have been my choice...

a smuggler without luck is like a rifleman without a rifle...

PS: i am a rifleman smuggler with rifles and luck 1 working on luck 2, but with merely scout XP and slicing XP it is a long grind to get to 250k XP :S
