So, the changes in permanent factional city control away from Theed and Cnet mean that both sides stand the chance of losing access to starports on 2 of the3 core worlds, complicating things for a lot of people...
...so tell me if I'm being overly optimistic, but do I sense an opportunity, especially given this mysterious announcement coming next week?

Hmmm Maybe. I think what your hinting at is that since factional control of some citys will block access to said starport from opposet factioned players (unless on leave), this leaves a potential important role for smugglers whocould be immune to the restrictions, or say you are grouped with smuggler you would be immune to the restrictions.

Yes
Of course there is a massive problem too, namely that one way around the scans/off limitsstarports is totravel into space and land at the space accessed starports like Jabba's Palace, which, as we all know, is avaiable to non-Smugglers.
So on one hand, we could be *this* close to The Dream - on your ship with a bunch of rebels who need to bypass Imperial control of starports. On the other hand, everyone is, sothe Smuggler title still means squat.

well i think a quick data basequiry as to your faction standing and profession (smuggler =yes/no) would be pretty easy to impliment when asking for landing permission at a spacestation. we would just want to make sure they dont take the easy way out and use/check onthe ship your flying. I'm not going to give up imp ace pilot just to land at those few starports that might be blocked. I suppose i could always use my yacht vet reward to travel to ristricted starportsif they do though.
