Well ive always wanted to take on things like NS elders and other things like that, but i enjoy smuggler too much. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good template. Im currently a smuggler/pistoleer, maybe thats good enough. Can anyone help with a combo if it is? Thanks.

You could try adding rifles or carbines for a snare and maybe a knockdown. With stopping shot, snare, KD and concussion for emergencies you should be able to solo fairly well.

So maybe stopping shot, restraining shot, and that melee pistol whip would do well against NS? Is that a good combo? Also, Whats som good action food? my pool is draining fast.

You have good crowd control and need decent damage now. Pick up the leg shot line of carbiner. It'll give you the most action efficent damage shot around. You can also pick up a KD and the best snare in game while you're there with another line.
With good damage and uber CC you should be able to kite any NS or other NPC easily without taking any damage. Lead with root, smack with damage, snare when the root is about to break. KD if they get to close while you're backing away otherwise alternate body/leg for damage. Use one of our mezes if things really get hairy and you need a break for a bit. But alternating root/snare/kd you should be able to cycle that endlessly.

If you are running out of action perhaps you need a new gun. I prefer guns that are capped on action cost as opposed to damage. The damage output you get from having say improved leg shot as your default attack vs ranged shot is signficant.
