Ok, time for a little funny story...
I was up to kill the Necrosis a cupple of minutes ago.
The group consisted of three jedi, one rifleman (not totally sure) and me, Master Smuggler/MCarb.
We got down the cave, and entered the NK spawning place.
It was a hard fight, we made ZWOOSH and ZUUUUUUUMM, and the NK did BANG and ZAPP and stuff, finally we did BOOOOOM and he dies. He dropped a poison pike, a belbulab, a cyberarm, and the "for what ever reason" high loved banes heart or what ever its name is.
Our lootsystem was lotteryloot, and now gues who got the crystal? One of the Jedi?? NOOOO!
The filthy smugggler did, errr, I mean, the filthy, now damn rich smuggler did *lol*
End of the story were three moaning jedi, who were curseing the smuggler (one of these poor guys was trying it for the 8th or 9th time today), and me, a happy, rich smuggler, who's atm thinking of just destroing the piece of junk to make a screeny of the message I get from it and post that as picture of the week in the forums *lol*
so, cheers, and where is my pie???

If you are also a BH I'd say destroy it.
If you are truly a smuggler of course you'd sell it to the highest bidder. Creds are creds.

If it was me, I'd leave it on the coffee table in my house, like I use to do with the holocrons I never bothered to use and the force crystals I never wanted... back when they were rare..

Go to Theed, with another smuggler, and do this:
You: Hey! I have this super-rare crystal, want to buy it?
Him: Sure! How much?
You: Oh, how about 5 credits?
Him: Oh... Well.. I was thinking around 2 credits, but okay...
TRADE IT
Him: Hehe... I just destoryed it! Lol
You: ROFL!

Well, you could offer to sell it to one of those Jedi that criticized you, then right before the transaction, say:
you: "OH NO"
loot-crazy Jedi that cursed a Smuggler: "what?"
you: "I just destroyed the crystal."
Then put em on ignore as fast as you possibly can, because that Jedi's gonna get ticked, real fast. 
hmm, that might be abit cruel though.

It's not like they're as rare, as say, the baby ancient bull rancor, who someone posted a pic of them killing it in the CH forums 
but I'd leave it in a public place where jedi can see it but not touch it.
also, the jedi don't necessarily like the bane's heart. most of them don't like them. most of them don't like the sunrider's destiny either. They hate the colors because the colors "r teh gai."
but they give an extra few elemental DPS... and we all know how important pwnage is to jebai. They'd wear sheer pink tutus if it helped them dominate...
but look at any thread on crystals in the jebai forums. Every one of them begs and pleads for the uh, I think it's called Kenobi's C*ck or something. It's the dark blue equivalent of the uber crystal...
