go up dirty fighting and underworld all the while using the combat xp to get stances. that way when you start working on pistoleer, you won't be grinding that last big of combat xp to hit master, it'll be just pure pistol xp.

Do the dirty fighting tree. Last ditch is the most damaging pistol shot in the game.

if you can hit. if you intend to do pistoleer and smuggler, do master pistoleer first, then you have no worries about last ditch missing

i am smuggler, fear my cork guns
episode II: i am no longer smuggler i no longer fear the cork guns or the delay on the delay for the revamp.. leave a message after the beep when revamp comes and then i shall return. but then maybe i will show them and do a delay on my return.. ha!!! take that soe (if they have not frustrated me more then i already am)

fwiw, im a master pistol, master smuggler commando 0030. out of all the pistoleer and smuggler shots, i use last ditch religiously (of course i have decent accuracy being master marksman master pistol and i have speed of 90 with aa) untill i had the speed to counter the delay on last ditch, i used fan shot and before that double tap (imo not being a master pistoleer, stop shot and last ditch just took too long) my route to the master profs was.. double tap, then i got fan shot, then i got speed lines, then i finished master pistol, then i finished the smuggler boxes. i leveled on talus against tortor and mutated khamura using speed sliced dx2 and fwg5 i also wrote those guns off and kept speed power ups on them(in pve grinding i dont worry too much about the accuracy, i just want to get stuff out to target asap. so i did accuracy line last in pistoleer) do try and lure in a few of the animals and use the melee defense 1 on them when you get it and then follow up with a bleed 1 and bleed 2. it does help cuz more damage will occur while they are down. i dont know your money account balance. but do try and get a set of ubese to destroy (it will help) i paid for buff and got a set of decent ubese and just got in the trenches and slugged it out. the ubese was destroyed by the time i was done with master pistol master smuggler (small price to pay i guess to get done fast) do try and get in a grind group with a guild (helped me to get the mutated khamura missions) and 100 plus diffictuly levels does do more then level 25. if you have dx2 guns, go strait for the heavy hitting missions (a plain tortor only gives about 1600 xp if i remember and a bull gives about 3200 xp. but all the mutated khamura give in the 3k range. so you will get more xp on those you just have to use acid. the higher difficulty just means more of them to kill without as many trips) im sorry im not well versed in dantoine, but i hear of similar grind patterns on the hurtons. my guild and friends are on talus so that is the only real grind suggestions i can use is from what i have done. i hope this helps

hmm from a pure time perspective that makes sense.. but if you take into account the ability to earn credits, its the wrong move. Pistoleer takes a while to master. Its not quick my any stretch of the imagination. And with it, you're still limited to just running mission and/or harvesting for income. If you work smuggler from the start you can use slicing as a quick means to pickup creds here and there instead of having to run insane amounts of missions. Master smuggler is more important than master pistoleer (especially with how broken pistoleer is). Thats how I treated it anyway.

I have to agree with Ender here, go up pistol Techs and the stances tree with your combat XP you get, then grind up the DF and underworld trees. Also they are right about pistoleer taking a while, and you being forced to rely on low-medium paying missions while doing it, so you might want to get slicingup as you move through pistoleer. Slicing is gonna be a pain, it always is due to the need forlocked containers but it is so depressing to have that being the only thing keeping you fromattaining master smuggler. There isn't really a best place to get the locked containers, or a specific way to get more of them, just ask your PA and friends to keep on the lookout for them, and whenever going through coronet or Theed always yell that you are opening containers for free. Also buy 2 crates of clamps for that, and use them every time. It is not worth missing out on the 250 xp percontainer because clamps are cheap. But once you reach slicing 1, and canslice mission terminals you will LOVE the added payout (and the 50% bonus in FP's if you are doing faction missions.) This will also help you move through slicing as you are gaining pistol xp for DF and Underworld (and the rest of pistoleer.) Spices can be ground out in 90 minutes from start to stop, ya just need three crafting stations and a bunch of stuff to make shadowpaw, so that isn't a real concern until later. Good luck on getting there, if ya need any more advice then let us know, we will be glad to help.

Personaly I am going up the same route as you and I am planning to master pistoleer first before smuggler. however, if you just want smuggler super bad and really have no patence to wait I would atleast get fan shot and get as much of the speed line during the way. then finish off smuggler

Actually it is very simple: get some nice guys (fwg, dx2 rep...) use speed pups, and HS2 a lot of quenkers and pickets and other critters, I think you'll get to tech IV in about6 to6 hours this way.

Once you get fanshot (while still using speed pups) go farm bases. you'll be getting pistol XP and FP like mad this way.

to use Last ditch you need a lot of speed attachments, or a super fast gun. At master Pistoleer my 1.4s Geo still needs 1.5s per LD

Rule of thumb: if you can't use fanshot efficient (meaning hitting multiple targets), switch to HS2, it might just be the best pistoleer special after fanshot
