I am a Master Smuggler and TK on Naritus and as some have had happen I had my Master Smuggler tag up but close to a full inventory. The person wanted a full set of armor sliced but like most assume I carry nothing on me and give me armor the way they purchases it pack and all. I sliced all the armor and with my slicing tools in inventory It was full 60 items I sliced all the armor the person had paid my requested fee when trading the armor to me in the beginning. As usual I double check to make sure I hadnt missed slicing any of the armor by accident I selected equip on the boots but because my inventory was full it removed my boots and destroyed the clients but at the time I didnt notice that my boots had unequiped or that the clients had dissapeared. I replaced all the armor in the backpack and traded back the backpack showed 9 items so a full set of armor. The client started to complain that the boots werent in the pack I assured the client that the boots were placed in the pack the client immediantly contacts some of their fellow guild members who all spam me with Boot Stealer over and over many times. I showed the client that the boots I had were mine on inspection of them the client accused me of stealing my own composite armor boots from one of her fellow guild mates like the armorsmith only made 1 set of armor and sold it to her guild mate and no one else. Life would be sweet if everyone had a personal armorsmith to perform these services so that there could never be any confusion when slicing items you would know automatically that the item was the clients. I tipped back the money the client gave me for the slice by bank tip even though the client had tipped me in trade window and had to put the client and her guild mates on ignore list temporarily. After that I went to the vendor where the client purchased the armor in question but no boots were for sale seperately I surely wasnt going to purchase three full sets of armor to replace 1 pair of boots because the vendor had three varietys of composite armor for sale. I took the client and spamming guild mates off of ingnore list but the client had logged and I feel not great but not like a theif because I never stole the boots in question they just dissapeared. Before when slicing locked containers and if inventory got full the newly sliced containers have dissapeared when opening them if they made inventory over 60 items. any suggestions as to how I could have done any different would be great undoubtedly purchasing three sets of armor to replace 1 pair of boots is out of the question.

same thing happened to me with a locked container.
Guy gave me two containers- I slice one no prob. I slice the other and it disappears. I had a hard time explaining but the guy just took off. I don't know what happened.

I've been lucky in that I haven't destroyed a clients items but it can be a real pain to keep things straight in inventory. One thing that has helped is that I keep a satchel for my armor. Even if it is hotkeyed, you can drop it in the satchel and you don't have to worry so much about mixing your pieces with the client. In fact, if you don't have an armor macro you may want to make one. When I have not taken the time to put my armor in the satchel, I may just equip it to make sure I'm not trading my stuff back instead of theirs.

The same exact thing happened to me twice already. Both locked containers , and both maxed out my inventory when the containers were traded ower to me. The first time it happened with a complete stranger and i ended up givin him market value for the container. The second time it happened to a guildmate and i actually witnessed the container disappearing...and she understood..luckily. Now i know smugglers are suppose to be shady people, but this is BS!
I ended up submitting a /bug report after the second time, and after seeing your post about armor poofing, im reluctanct to slice anything else

/bump the client logged on the next day and the boots I had supposedly stolen by a miracle reappeared. A csr contacted me and asked me if I was happy that the boots came back but I told them it was ok but the damage of the idiot client childishly yelling in starport that I was a boot stealer and having half her guild spam me with the same message didnt and wont go away plus the fact I bank tipped the client back the money for the slices. So as usual I got the short end of the SWG stick again.
