I am really starting to be amazed at how many people we have working toward improving this game. There are people like Caylin who spend hours upon hours spoon feeding the dev's amazing ideas that the community comes up with and we see an unproportionally low response from the dev's. They are really losing a lot of customers who spend a ton of time ingame or on the forums coming up with mind bogglingly (is that a word?)great ideas that just get sucked into a giant black holeknown as the c-forums. I have been playing since early July and really loved the game when I got it. I had never played an mmorpg before and was conserned about the monthly cost. However, after playing for a few weeks I found it completely justified.
I left for a while during christmas and come back to a completely different game. There are some aspects that I still enjoy in the game, but many of them have lost their luster. People like slugeater, fishbrains and caylin are seriously considering leaving the game because of the inability of the dev's to listen to the community. How many of these creative and willing minds will leaveSWG, by far the most promising/most potentialyfun mmorpg in existance, before they realize they are ending up with a bunch of "1337 d00ds" who have no idea what forums are let alone know how to post on them! Eventually the "elders" will leave and they will get no response from the community and wonder "what happened?" Well, perhaps then they will look through the older posts and realize that all the ideas/complaints we had went unanswered, or inadiquitly answered, and after "dropping the soap" and getting SOE to come up behind us for months we moved on to bigger and better things. I, for one, am getting sick of the people who play the game for the SWG feel andNOT to "wtfpwn" people are leaving because of the what I stated above.
Come on SOE! Get it together! I find myself playing "men in tights" (city of heroes) more than I do this game! That is not unacceptable! I spend almost as much money on this game as I do every month for car insurance! (4 accounts, mine and my girlfriends) The longer the current trend keeps up, the more of the great people we have will leave. I hate to see the day where SWG is nothing but "1337 d00ds" running around screaming "I WTFPWNED JOO!!!

ahh 1337 n00b5. They do make the world go around don't they. They are really the reason I don't get into pvp. I hate seeing the words own or pwn for that matter. But on the other hand I do love getting into arguements about how you can't actually own a person. usually makes my day feel alot better.

I'm lousy at PvP, but do you have any idea how much I want to get together with a band of all ya'll in here and just punk out every 1337 pr1ck over and over again?
Don't care how uber you are, messin w/ 20-30 fed-up smugglers at a time would really ruin your day.
Watch how fast some of them start crying to the devs and the CRs

I dislike any elitest. I do like to poke fun at them or just stand there and /blink when they spout off some leet garbage. But that usually just produces the same reaction,which is " Well then duel me". I ' m sure some would consider that a form of griefing but I don't , especially when they keep coming back to me and talking trash. I do not PvP at all , for two reasons ,one is my template is not geared tword PvP at all and two, because of all the dill hole leet doods.

Don't feel bad, DP... took me a couple of minutes to figure it out the first time. I still can't figure out how someone got "pwn" from "own". But don't anyone tell me... I don't want to know. I'm happy speaking English.

That, my friend, is the whole point. I used to PvP ALL the time. Every day I would log myself into Anchorhead and run from one side to another while someone shouts "Imps at south entrance!" then "Imps at north entrance!" That was before the elitists came and ruined it for me. My only salvation is that these people do not post on forums. Thank god for that.

Sorry Wayne, gotta share the idiocy. pwn came from own because they're side by side on a standard QWERTY keyboard. Yup, pwn is a typo that's made it's way into p0p culture. Sad isn't it?

THAT'S what "pwn" means? I thought someone was messing with the word "pawn" or something. Who the hell comes up with these things. I mean, I can understand changing "elite" to "leet" or whatever. But what social-retard decided to make it a number sequence? That took me weeks to figure out what people meant when i'd read 1337's everywhere.
