So we can see just how much has changed for our profession and when.

  • Positive Change
  • Neutral Change
  • Negative Change

Post-Launch Notes:

July 8, 2003

  • Terminals now have a refresh timer before they can be
    sliced again.

July 30, 2003

  • Changed /panicShot so it can't be executed over and over
    with little cost.

Publish 1 Notes:

August 13, 2003

  • Increased the damage and the action cost of the /lastditch
    smuggler attack.
  • Weapon slicing no longer has a chance of slowing a weapon
down. It now properly speeds the weapon up.

Update Notes: August 15, 2003

  • Reduced the frequency of puke effect after consuming spice.

Publish 2 Notes:

September 4, 2003

  • You can now /feigndeath while running and walking. color=#339f00>
  • The damage penalty for taking a hit while using /feigndeath
has been reduced by a significant amount.
  • Slicing IV has been fixed so that it has the appropriate
    bonus.
  • Added 30 second posture change/knockdown timer. color=#339f00>
  • Decreased cost of all knockdown moves. When we added the 30
second timer, the costs and damage needed adjustment.
  • Increased damage of all knockdown moves.

Publish 3 Notes:

October 8, 2003

  • Changed all delay moves to be on a 30 second timer color=#3399ff>
  • Increased move costs for lowblow
  • Fixed panic shot cone size, delaying user, and not
    effecting multiple people
  • /delegateFactionPoints command added. The conversion ratio
is based on the delegating players rank

Publish 4 Notes:

November 13, 2003

  • The maximum effectiveness of sliced armor can no longer
    exceed 90%.

Publish 5 Notes:

December 16, 2003

  • Make Attribute mods due to food, spice, etc, not
    incapacitate players
  • Overt Players: /delegateFactionPoints: if used with a
target but no parameters will now provide an interface
  • Slicing options will no longer show up erroneously on
    non-armor clothing.
  • Fixed an issue with HQ security terminals where an
incap'd/dead slicer could lock the terminal and prevent further use color=#339f00>
  • Locked loot crates now indicate whether they are sliceable
    or not when examined.

Publish 6 Notes:

February 11, 2004

  • The 'Imperial Crackdown'
  • Visual Buff System - Spice buff duration and information is
now displayed on the new buff bar
  • Added a success or fail routine for when a smuggler is
    scanned (Correspondent Issue).
  • Added a grouping bonus for smugglers in wilderness and
cantina searches when stormtroopers are executing a shakedown scan.

Update Notes: February 24, 2004

  • Opening of the Geonosian Dungeon (sliceable doors)

Publish 7 Notes:

March 17, 2004

  • Panic Shot; Strafe Shot are cone effect shots that will
delay your target for 10 seconds on a successful shot. Strafe Shot succeeds
only when your target is in the 'take cover' position. In both cases, the
effect ends upon further damage to the target.
  • Sliced armor and weapons: Armor and weapons that have been
altered by a smuggler will have a "identifier tag" in its examine window
    description.
  • Made droids, vehicles and turrets immune to the delay
    effect of panic shot.
  • Changed panic shot to not switch your combat target. color=#ff0000>
  • The delay effect of panic shot will break on damage to the
    target.
  • Fixed broken old spices
  • Spices that reduce your attributes will not incapacitate
you. - This change is what we consider the 'Spice Nerf' color=#3399ff>
  • Junk Dealer revamp

Update Notes: March 23 2004

  • Misc: Fixed some text errors on the Junk Dealer and
    Underworld Smuggler loading screens.

Update Notes: March 30 2004

  • GCW: Added a feign death check for the Power Regulator,
Security, Override, and Uplink terminals in the HQs.
  • GCW: Players can no longer access faction base terminals if
    they are feigned death.

Update Notes: April 13, 2004

    computer)

Publish 8 Notes:

April 27, 2004

  • Ability to use Detonation droids added to Smugglers.

Publish 9 Notes:

June 29, 2004

  • *Didn't Really Happen at this Time* You will
no longer be able to slice an item by using a tool in a crate. You will have
to remove it from the crate first.

    materials is disabled.

Update Notes: October 6, 2004

  • *STEALTH FIX* Power-up slicing exploit
    resolved

Update Notes: November 29, 2004

  • Smuggler Missions added in
    space.

Publish 12 Notes:

January 13, 2005

  • Great patches, nothing specifically for smugglers
    though.

Publish 13 Notes:

February 10, 2005

  • Removed all apprentice XP requirements from all
    professions
  • Smugglers no longer have an artificial faction point cap
when buying faction points. The cap is their actual point cap. Signing up
with the faction will make a larger bribery option available, and rising in
ranks will increase the cap as per normal factional progression.

February 24, 2005

  • Made incapacitation work if you are feigning death. Meaning
bounty hunters and mobs can kill you through the use of feign death.

March 1, 2005

  • There are no longer critical fails on crafting (which would
    previously destroy components involved)

Publish 14 Notes:

March 9, 2005

  • Variety of GCW enhancements and changes to TEF system. Many
changes made regarding faction perk purchases.
  • *Stealth Change* Dialog options changed to the point that
the Sell Out skill is no longer usable!

March 24, 2005

  • Galaxy-wide vendor search is
    implemented.

Help Please! Unaccounted for Items:

I know these things happened but I can't find where!

  • Removal of experimentation when crafting spices and such.
  • Anything Else???

Loot

  • Locked loot crates now indicate whether they are sliceable or not when examined.

You might have missed this one because it was under Loot and not under Smuggler or any other ones that most of our changes appeared under. On a side not, woohoo, i learned a new HTML tag just now, this thing

Would the bug of failed weapon/armor slices still reading as having been illegally modified, while no stats change count?

They could at least tag it differently, saying that it was a failed modification.

    Very nice Caylin...

    How about some color-coding?

    Green for something positive.

Yellow for something that's just kinda "eh" (ie. - Jawa Junk minigame, not negative, but not exactly positive either)

    Red for something negative.

BTW...just kidding...unless it's something you just want to do when you have nothing better to do... ...

I could do something like that but making it look nice when it would be such a rainbow is a different kind of task. hehe.

    lol...

just figured it would give a better idea of positive and negative changes if we could look at a list and see how the red out-weighs the green...

    *shrug*

ok well, lithium does strange things. I'll just leave it like that for a bit and see if I can straighten it up again on the 'morrow.
