so I discovered why the Devs call this a "fix" rather than a "nerf."

Please rote The definition of nerf.

nerf: A trademark used for a variety of foam rubber toys.

Now please note the definitions of fix.

fix:

To spay or castrate.

To take revenge upon; get even with.

To influence the outcome or actions of by improper or unlawful means
