During a recent run to the local salvaged freight store, I came upon the "Arms and Equipment guide" for the the Star Wars Roleplaying game. Being a fan of concept art and general tech info, I picked it up. Figured I would post up some of theinfo/background for weapons that people will be using (seems that the devs pulled a lot of weapons from this book). Will try to post up more as time goes on (swamped right now with work and freelance web projects) but here's the Renegade info to start it off. Figured Smugglers might like a little info on the new gun they will be using.

"SoroSuub "Renegade" Heavy Blaster"

"SoroSuub's last word in blaster design, this weapon was an outgrowth of the Caliban Model X that solved most of the design problems of that earlier weapon. By eliminating the stun setting from this weapon, SoroSuub managed to keep the force of the bolts high without destabilizing the housing.

The Renegade, as befits it's name, has proved to be extremely poplular wiith pirates, smugglers, and others who feel the need to have the largest gun in the room. The SoroSuub model was considered the ultimate in heavy blaster pistol design until it was superseded by the BlasTech T-6 Thunderer."

Random interesting fact. This gun didn't come out until the "New Jedi Order Era" according to the book. It, like the DL-44, is a restricted weapon though. If you like background info on weapons would definitely recommend picking up the book. As I mentioned, assuming I get more time to post soon, I'll try to post some of the info on other guns. Post requests if you wish.
