Thread: PUPs after conversion.

I checked my PUPs (I have quite a few crates of melee and ranged) after my server went up on TC3 and found that every last PUP was converted to so much trash.

The damage typically went up but the speed also went up so much that it removed any DPS advange from using a PUP. In some cases the DPS actually went down.

Anyone try PUPs made on test and not converted?

My converted pups were garbage too... brought down my DPS.

I will tell you what bakes my noodle... my 2.3s 220 max dam (unpupped) DX-2 (backup gun) got a better respec than my 3.6s 420 max dam unpupped DE-10, and almost as good as my 3.4s 495 max damage unpuppedDE-10.

My 1.4s 360ish max damage unpupped DX-2 got the best conversion of any of my guns.... it respecked to 450 DPS with my smugg/pistol skills.

My 2.1s 408 max damage unpupped geo blaster respecked to absolute garbage because it has a lower cert in pistoleer.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that the reason our krayt DL44s are coming out so poorly is because the conversion software assigns them the non-xt version and won't let their DPS go higher than allowed for that version.

What I want to know is if anyone has crafted PUPs on TC so we can tell if crafted PUPs are any better than converted ones. I'm thinking PUPs are just plain a lost case atm.

It's the DL44 Metal that became the XT. Not the original. If you're getting low-level conversions on a krayted DL44 Metal, it needs to be bugged.

yep I have Dl44 metal 375 max damage and I was not as impressed with what it turned out to be. My Krayted Rupublic seemed to have the best conversion.

Personaly I think they've got some of the coding backwards as my best guns now in live are far from still being the best guns Test.

Also testing has shown that weapons crafted in test are better than the ones converted by a long margin.

I'm not really happy with my collection of pistols turning to garbage but I'll get over it.

Check the artsian boards. Last I looked the same could pretty much be said for crafted PuPs... There is a trade off, but you have to look at the scenaro / wep / use... maybe its ok to lose some speed if you're already fast... or perhaps some accuracy if your mods are high. Theres some DPS #s in the the sticky thread if you're into that thing. But genereally they aren't a big win it seems.

As for newly crafted weps vs. converted ones.. that is a BS move and one I think the WSs are bitching about already.
