Thread: What is the dilly-o with html restrictions in sigs?

Okay, I went to edit my sig to change the ? to 5/4/05, today, the END of the server. i just typed in 5/4/05 where the ? was... and hit save, and I get, "You cannot have simple html in your signature"

I was wondering about the same thing, I was gonna change the quote at the bottom of mine to be based more around how Last Ditch works, but apparently, we can't make any more changes right now, as long as there's HTML in the signatures, but old ones are just fine. If I have to choose between keeping the current HTML version or going non-HMTL but having "Hit or miss, do or die: Smuggler for life.", I'ma have to go with curtain number 1.

LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME. This last forum change has been nothing but a bother to me. Glad I got my pre-nerf sig in though

They got rid of the HTML stuff like well over a year ago. 
You can go over to planetside, they can have whatever they want over there. Post images and everything.

Man, I thought I was the only one- I been complaining about this for a week now.
What IS the f*n deal with that?!? Is it ever going to change?
I hink they just did it so that people would be stuck with those yellow ribbons forever.

My prenerf sig looks wierd now that's it's cut off. It did say "Watching your tail so you don't have to."

My sig was just like my current one, but I was using a 'size' property in the font tag to make my sig smaller and less obtrusive.
I can still use the font tag with the 'color' property, so I am wondering if they just don't allow some properties. Some people may have been using 'size' to make their sigs huge, so they don't allow it anymore.
I tried the trick of copying the old sig and pasting it in to a simple text editor and then copying and pasting that back, but no dice. I had to trim down the properties, and then it worked.

No, they got rid of the super sexy html a year ago, but up until this last update, which went in the same time as the CU, if there was NO html allowed... I mean the only html in my sig is color, font, size and line breaks. so obviously they want everyone to have generic white sigs.
Sort this, deliver that, I'll make them all pay...

The only HTML in my sig is to color it, three links(pic to my character, and two beauty shots of the LongShot), and to make everything centered.
