Thread: Want to go Imperial from Rebel...

I have 2k+ Rebel points, and -5k Imperial. What's the best way to make the switch? I've heard that the quickest way to lose those negative points is to get some level 4 smuggler skill and use it to remove those? Any suggestions?

Quickest way would be to pay a Master Smuggler to buy faction for you.
Second quickest would be to fly Imperial in Kessel or Deep Space.

I heard something about some trick where you delegate all faction, drop pilot, then pick up (in this case Imp) pilot ... and it puts you "on leave" for the corresponding ground faction. I'd suggest you look it up, but search is broken.

I read that thread, but it was going Rebel to Imperial. Someone else posted in the thread that it didn't work for going from Imperial to Rebel.
And going up the smuggler tree to get rid of the faction loss can be expensive-ish. It's 100,000c for 1250 faction points.
