So I left almost two years ago (only played from release for about 6 months). Now I came back because promises that things are looking up in the SWG world with JtL, the CU, and RoTW. So first thing in the gate I decide it time to get back to smuggler... Only its different now its all Pistol exp and Combat exp.

So any suggestions and to a born-again Smuggler?

I left shortly after CoH launched but re-activated on Tuesday.

Check for my name in recent posts and you should see a lot of the questions answered, as long as you knew smugglers before anwyay.

Right now Smuggler seems FOTM since you can mix professions and use specials from one into another.

Its great for soloing/kiting.

from what I see on here looks like the smuggler changes are for the better...Other then you having to shoot people in the head to learn how to make spices.

If you are still needing to complete any Smuggler boxes, group and start hunting....actually with your group, not solo. The Tangle or Geo pistols are probably your best bet forpistol choice if you don't have any other Elite profession weapon certsor MS. Concussion Shot has a nice 15 second delay ("root") which can freeze/slow your target while the rest of your group attacks. Smuggler is now a very welcome (and useful) addition to any hunting or dungeon group.

I've been taking Bol or Picket missions on Dant. Right now, they are paying around 6-8K Pistol XP and 600-800 Combat XP. Don't forget to slice the mission terms to double your credit reward!
