Anyone else done this quest yet, I've got this weird thought in my head that the gun was better BEFORE the slice.

probably talking about that quest that you come upon a demolished camp and converse with someone on a radio and have to deal with canopy bandits
you finish the quest and get a code to a locked container and the pistol is inside
