They are still working the the 'Firefly' movie, right?
please say thats still in the works....morons at Fox pulled the plug on the best Sci-Fi series ever.
My house in Landsend (we have a naming theme, one word on the sign, usually its an something describing the owner, 'purity' and 'vigilant' are some examples) is named 'Serenity' and my Kryat fighter is named 'Firefly'. Because I'm a goofy spaz like that.

i heard from GL mouth itself (tho only on a dvd free with a sunday paper) that the show is live action (lready know) and that it doesnt centre around a single character rather it explores many different characters that have all been in the films. Yeah FILMS, so id asume that if thats correct your looking at minor characters to even background characters from all 6 episodes. And you sure as hell know theres gonna be a Smuggler in there somewhere.
Also Kevin Smith has been heard to be producing/directing along with Mark Hamill showing up once in awhile as an older jedi master.
Anything could change but i know i'll be watching it when it comes out.

Serenity is the name I believe, quicktime.com you can view it in the trailer area.

there's a somewhat Long post here on the Smuggler board discussing it, and the Trailer's in theaters. Also, There was an advance screening of the not-quite-finished version here in Atlanta and a few places not too long ago.
It'll be out in the fall, most likely.
On the topic at hand, the expectation of many(myself included) is that the StarWars TV series will follow many stories and fill in a lot of the gaps people wanted to see in Episode 3 but weren't appropriate for that movie. Examples would Be Han and Chewie hooking up, Mara Jade's background, assorted details of the transition into the Empire as we know it, The Birth of the Rebellion... and so on.
None of which is in Episode 3 because Lucas views the whole of the 6 movies as, overall, being about the life of Darth Vader, more than anything. Which makes sense. The original trilogy follows Luke, but he's closely tied to Vader and ultimately, his story leads up to the redemption and death of Vader(followed shortly by the rebirth and death of Anakin, but that's an unessecary distinction).
