Thread: Negative Slicing, I am not a fan of this

I picked up two krayted Enhanced E-11 carbines today, both with base DPS of about 550. I had them sliced. They both recieved -2% speed slices reducing their new DPS to 540. I would have never expected slicing to get so bad that it would make a weapon worse than it was when it began. I knew that slices were very low now after the combat upgrade and didnt expect much from the slice. This slice turned my pretty good carbine into a player crafted carbine with a decent slice. My carbine was higher than the weapons cap so the slice hurt it to bring it to the cap. Beware do not get good weapons that were made with good components sliced until smuggler gets fixed.

there should be a small chance of a negative slice if you only have slicing 1 or 2 but definetely not for a master.
Hey is there any kind of -better slice- food or clothing?

The only chance should be either failing the slice or performing the slice, definitly now downgrading the weapon. There is no slice clothing or food that i have ever herd of.

Yes,post CU weapons are hard capped on all stats. Thats why the lower % slices are all over the place now
If you have a pre-CU weapon that was allowed to excede the caps during the conversion (many uber guns were allowed this luxury) they will remain uber, but if you slice them they will drop down to the capped #s for that type of weapon.
Sucks yea....we need to make sure everyone knows about this little glitch

The thing is that the guns that i had sliced were made post CU with krayt tissues
