Thread: Casting call: artists
I do a search on the interweb for Mara Jade, looking to see if there are any drawings or renders or whatnot.
Much to my surprise, I came across this -- which doesn't appear to be a drawing at all (or if it is, it's a damn good one).
First thought I had was fap fap fap.
Then, after that wore off and I toured the site hosting that card scan, I found out they "Dream Card" sets listed where fans could use pre-drawn templates and create their own cards. The first (and only, seeing as how the site has been dead w/o updates for about a year) "Dream Card" set featured bounty hunters.
So then it occured to me, why not a Smuggler set? Films, EU, heck, even your own SWG toon.
I'll try making a scan later tonight of my toon, but wanted to throw the gauntlet to you guys first. The unfortunate thing is that the site hosting the card templates (swpalace.net)is no longer online, but I'll edit this post if I find viable templates.
I've actually got a nice picture of Kaitlin/Kaytlin I drew a while back(it's out of date), and used to make decent change here and there drawing character portraits for SWG players. But as school drags on and I pick up "real" work... my time gets limited. I wouldn't mind possibly being commissioned for this sort of thing, but I'd ahve to approach it on a case-by-case basis, and I can't do it completely for free when I've got paying work on the table. I dunno. PM me or something if you want to discuss it. :>
Or, wait, I didn't get much sleep last night. You're more thinking of getting us drawing up our characters than asking for someone willing to draw, right?

Either or, actually. Game screens or drawings for SWG toons would definitely work. As well as some SWG humor (I planned on making a few Bloodfin specific cards).
I just finished photoshopping a "new" charactertemplate, which can be found here. Have to make a light side variant, which should be done shortly.
