I am MAS and MS - this weekend I decided I would start making all my armor with the first breakage slice for free - so I took the time to slice about 10 suits - I then checked my char sheet to see how many slice points I had and I only have 1. Is this a bug? do I only get slice xp if I use "tools", is slice xp non-existence? trying to fill Jedi trees with these to prof is hard enough already. So the question is: Does Slice XP still exist?

Slicing XP is removed, all Smuggler Skills are gained through shooting bols or pickets with a pistol now.

Came with the CU, since Smuggler is a combat profession.
I don't know if it is working as intened or they just threw in Pistol XP to have something in to fix it later (and later never happened since they threw the software out in the alpha state).
If you think that that is weird, you'll love Squad Leader, all is pistol XP there, too. So youcan become Master Squad Leader without ever being grouped!

With the way combat levels work, Mastering Smuggler needs to require pistol (weapons) XP or your combat level would go in the trash.

Not trying to flame Accamim or anything since they are only stating fact. But wouldn't you think that should have raised a big red flag to the devs when they did this?
Overall I think I like post CU combat better then Pre-CU. But honestly, I . . . well enjoyed is not the word to use . . . didn't mind the work you had to do to become MS. But thanks to the combat level crap, it has to be done that way like Accamim said. Since unless you are 80, you can hardly raid anywhere.

Why not do that to all professions - Tailors get one tree (say combat wear for FS) Arch get one tree for FS xp, and so on - but then, when have they ever made the game fair to each profession? very disappointing - frick for that matter do it to the combat professions - BH only get xp for using a LLC, Commandos only if they use flame
Can you imagine the uproar that would create?
It'd be worse than the 'XP-nurf' a couple months ago.
Not that I'm against it, I'm rather pissed off that I no longer get slicing xp.
Guess I won't ever be getting that Luck tree.
I don't want no damn Jedi, just a bit of luck and maybe some extra defense.

lol, I really don't care about mastering smuggler - I am already there since pre-cu, my concern was trying to use the 2 professions to master my FS trees - since I have no time for combat and making armor (I handmake my armor for the xp to finish the crafting tree of FS) there is no way for me to make anymore xp in my professions. I have to choose combat or making armor - What a rip, been 2 weeks since being to the village, but I do know the slicing catogary was/is still listed. Kinda sucks that the things we can do in our profession are worthless towards FS. Freaking take slicing away, give it to anyone that has the freaking components then. Why even have it in the profession? same with spice - let chefs make it, since it is worthless to our profession except for making a very small amount of credits.
