Okay I'm master smuggler, and master carbines with 4,0,0,0 pistols. Wasn't really thinking pvp when I set this up but every now and then when I go to sell faction or in this case just give a bit to a guildie to go imp. I get jumped by some jedi and never have any clue what to do. lol

PVP is'nt really my thing much so just curious what skills, foods and anything else I should be using to maybe give myself a shot against one.

Any advice would help as I'm pretty clueless to this stuff.

I know rebels can just go to the abandoned rebel base as a combatant, then go inside and go overt, delegate the faction, then wait until they go combatant again. Is there any place with a recruiter that you have to be imperial combatant to get inside? If so, that'd be the place to go.You could also find a high level combatant base, and go inside there to do your faction dealings.I really doubt any jedi would bother to run through level 88 NPC's just to get to a single overt guy.

I thought the NGE couldn't be any worse than the CU, but I was wrong.

Emperor's retreat.

It is a period of civil war. Rebel players, striking from player reviews, have won many victories against the evil LucasArts Empire's web-propaganda.
During the battle, Player spies managed to expose bogus reviews of the Empire's ultimate weapon, the NGE, A terrible system with enough bugs to destroy a gamer's entire SWG experience.
Pursued by the Empire's sinister forum agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the rollback plans that can save her people and restore playability to Star Wars Galaxies...

Well, if you are jumped by a Jedi, then your primary focus is going to be to escape, or at least get some distance between yourself and the Jedi, so that you can engage him on your terms. Fortunately, your template several options for doing this.

Firstly, hit him with a knockdown (i think carbineer has one?), then panic shot. Then hammer the esc key so you stop shooting at him. If this works, he will be stuck on his back, spamming KD recover, yet the daze effect of panic will keep him down. Now either escape, or move to maximum range to engage him.

I this fails, or you need to stop the guy again for some reason, your next line of defense is concussion shot. Note that after it wears off, you cannot apply another daze for some time afterwards.

If you have a snare, keep him lumbered with it, whenever he is not dazed, so you can keep out of his range (remember, saber toss has a 32m range) and keep plinking away.

Finally, if you were to switch from pistols 4,0,0,0 to the tree that gives you improved stopping shot (the root) then you have another movement disabler in your arsenal to pull out when needed.

I have a simular temp...(sorry spelling sucks, I just woke up) 1. If you don't want to get jumped sell or pass faction somewhere safe. I typically use the Imp outpost on Lok as the recuiter is right near the door and you can go inside and ith they attack there is more than one way out of the building. 2. Root and run, Root and Run, not only do you need to get away and you probably will with this but it will also make the jedi think the next time he engages a smuggler.
