Thread: Master Smuggler getting 13% slices?

I have actually been getting 12% to 13% slices sometimes when i get an effectivness slice on composite armor. Any other Master Smugglers getting this thin slice? I know it doesn't matter..but for those who wonder..my upgrade kits are at 99.9% functionality.

Basement for effectiveness slices at Master is actually 11%

The quality of your tools (and I mean every single tool you use) has absolutely ZERO effect on the slice you give. This has been confirmed by the game Developers. Once again, tool quality doesn't matter in the slightest bit.

KaernL please reread my orginal post...you will see that I said in that post that quality doesn't matter....it was strictly an aside.

Yes, I know, I saw it quite clearly. You, in essence, contradicted yourself by saying tool quality doesn't matter but then told us the quality of your tools. I felt like making it extra clear that tool quality doesn't matter both to point out your self-contradiction, and to prevent any new or non smugglers from mis-reading your post into thinking tool quality mattered.

Yeah I've gotten an 11% before when slicing armor, couldn't believe it actually goes that low at master. Helped me to prove to my friendthat tool quality doesn't matter though. Did two consecutive slices with identical AUKs and clamps, first was 11%and next was 44%.

All results in slicing are completely random, you may have a streak of high end slices, and you may have a streak of low end slices. But the streaks don't matter, the result is just luck.

Got an 11% slice just two nights ago. Also got a 45% encumb slice three nights ago.

/pffftttttt to randomness.

Yeah it's been happening to me a lot too. I hit a 45% slice a couple of days ago, but all of my armor slices last night were in the teens. /sigh Oh well. The armor is still better than it was, which I guess is the point. Kinda makes me wish they would raise the base effectiveness of a Master to at least 20% though.
