I got my first locked container today. WHen I asked someone what it was worth, he said he needed to see it so he could "examine" it. He kept it for a minute then handed it back and said he couldn't tell what it was because he didn't want to slice it.
My question is: Did I get my container back or do you think I was scammed?
What am I supposed to do with these in the future?
Thanks,

I bought the game and played it briefly, then quit and followed my friends back to EQ. Now I decided to try it again.
Why else would I ask such a stupid question?
Does anyone know the answer? If not, please keep further insults to yourself.
Thanks

I don't think he was trying to insult you so much as just making an amusing observation.
Anyway, did you loot the container? If so, examine it and see if it is still sliceable (the examine window will say it is either Sliceable or Broken). If it is still Sliceable then I don't know what that guy's deal was. If it is Broken, then he tried to open it and failed and now it is a useless piece of junk that can never be opened. If it he succeeded at ths Slice then it would be called an Unlocked Container instead of a Locked Container, but it's always possible he kept it and gave you broken one (though this isn't very likely).
Overall, I wouldn't worry about it. 99.99% of the time these containers are full of pure junk. Very rarely do people find anything good.

*fixed
and yes it wasnt an insult, just thought it was funny
also no need to be so paranoid - the guy either broke it or opened it and took all the riches out and royally screwed you, lol
