The other night I saw some dopey Nerfherder waving his lightsaber around and bragging about how he ganked some "stupid n00b" out of a BARC for only 5 million credits. I knew there wasn't a bounty on him at the moment so I just asked him who the guy was. Sent him a tell and invited him over to Skyy's the Limit to shop for some clothes. Aylaa was there working on restocking her inventory so we had a nice conversation with this guy. He was level 2 and had no badges, so he was at least a newbie to our galaxy. He paid cash for a custom wardrobe and tipped Aylaa heavily. He asked me quite a few newbie questions about playing the game, different professions, where to hunt and what to do. Looks like he did some research and was an all around nice guy. I asked him about the BARC. He said "I checked out the bazaar and had an idea about prices, so 5 million seemed very good. But I got lucky; I met another guy who was selling a BARC for 3 million so I bought it. Later I sold it for 10 million to someone else who was desperate." Laughed long and said he could buy a house, furnishings, armor, weapons, a ship and 3 swoops for a lot less than 12 million. I don't know how much of it was true but I told him with that kind of guts he just HAD to become a Smuggler!
