Thanks, that's what I thought. I wanted to ADK this rifle, and it's a shame that I can't complete the slice before I do that.

My question is, is there any way to resume an incompleteslicing procedure, or has anybody else had this happen to them? Would it do any good to have a different smuggler than myself (I'm no longer a smuggler) try it,or would that just be a waste of time?

Oh, man... I'm sorry, Uthyr, but that made me chuckle... imagining driving out to my house with a slicing window open. 
But yeah, you can cancel out of slicing if you haven't cut a wire yet. Actually, I think I've canceled out of slicing after I HAVE cut a wire, assuming you cut the proper wire. I'd have to test it out (and can't right now at work), but I think I've done that before. I've run low on knives before without screwing up a slice, it's just when impaired that I mess it up.
Don't drink and slice.
HOWEVER, if you have a gun nice enough to use an ADK kit on it.. yeah, I'd wait till the slicing publish comes or at least hunt up a master smuggler on your server to do it. Er... a 'natural' master smuggler...

Hehe, glad to have given you a chuckle, Alpha. And yeah,I think alcohol may have been involved at the time I screwed upt hat slicing attempt.
Anyway, I can't try to slice the gun again myself because I'm not a smuggler anymore, but if it is indeed a server boundary issue (that makes perfect sense--it wouldn't be the first time I've had strange things happen crossing boundaries), then perhaps I'll have another smuggler (not a respec attempt like me!) try to fix it once the slicing gets straightened out. I'm just wondering if that "this weapon has been altered by a smuggler" message that I still see on that weaponshould have disappeared after server reset if the weapon is indeed still re-sliceable This was weeks ago that I botched the slicing attempt.

If it's something that is likely to be fixed though, I suppose I could set it aside and use another rifle in the meantime.
