After more than 9 months as a Master Smuggler, I have decided to give up the Spice and Slicing trees to become a template that is more suited towards PvP. I plan on keeping the Underworld tree as I am still making a lot of money from selling FP. Income from slicing is sporadic and the Spice tree is pointless as Muon Gold and Neutron Pixie are the only spices worth making. I do plan on going back to Master Smuggler once the revmap comes about (sometime in 2005 I guess) as, at the moment, its just not worth it.
Anyways, onto my question. Even though I plan on giving up the Spice tree, I still want to continue selling spices through my spice vendor. It is a good source of supplementary income to my resource vendor. I plan on making a lot of 1000 unit schematics of Muon Gold and Neutron Pixie - enough to tide me through till the revmap comes about and I regain my Master title.
Would it be possible for me to do this? Or do the schematics become unuseable once I drop the tree?

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you should be able to use your schematics, or even those another smuggler may make.
I've heard that you can just get a weaponssmith and armoursmith to make a schematic out of materials you provide them, to make WUKs and AUKs, so why you couldn't do the same for spices - I can't think of a reason why not anyway.

Yes you can use any schematic with out having the professions that made it.
I grinded novice WS and AS just to make 10 - 1000 use schematics of WUKS and AUKS for myself.. dropped it and it works great.

If you datapad is becoming full, you might also invest in droids to store them. I believe a droid with a data module will store 10 schematics (it may be only 6). You could even get droids with both storage and data and keep the resources along with them. A couple of MSEs could store enough schems and resources to keep you going for quite some time.
