Remember my last post on how I had the shottiest luck when it came to slicing high end stuff?
I just had 4 krayt scatters made.
21%
30%
31%
25%
SPEED
ALL SPEED
I HATE THIS SLICING SYSTEM! I'm so about to cry.
I just wasted so much **edit**ing money on some god **edit* guns.
I'm so frustrated right now... I'm so about to drop smuggler.

That does suck.
Last night I sliced a factory crate of T-21's, all but about 3-4 were speed. I was fairly disgruntled but decided I was due and picked up the three acklay powerhammers I had just bought. The first two hammers were speed, the last was a 35% damage slice. For the most part I attribute that to cosmic inteference as the Red Sox are also now in the world series.

It may have something to do with the Astros also. I live pretty close to houston.
But yea... I'm so not going to be able to sell these damn weapons.

Go 'stros! My first job ever was selling programs in the Astrodome.
Rooting for Houston sports teams prepared me for a long life of misery, regret and disappointment.

Should I ever be fortunate enough to get my hands on a DE-10, I've just about decided that I will NOT be slicing it. I'll buy crates upon crates of power-ups and use those. But I will not slice a multi-million credit pistol for myself until such time as we are granted some sort of control over the outcome of that slicing.
Multi-million cred pistols or weapons belonging to someone else are fair game though....

Haha, no doubt. When I bought mine, I made the mistake of slicing it,so of course it wasfor 27% speed. It's still a good gun, but the second time around, I hunted one down that was PRESLICED to where I wanted it. ![]()

Isn't it sad when you have to buy a sliced weapon to get what you want despite having mastered your prof. Such a shot to the pride.

I was slicing weapons that I made for a long while...and recently dropped smuggler. I have what you call chronic bad luck.
7 of 7 scythes sliced for speed...all of them using +20 pastes and above base yellow cubes...
Then there were the geo blasters...out of 14 from cubes worth making them...12 speed slices...both damage slices below 25%.
And for good measure, throw in a 16% speed sliced +150 dmg krayt flame thrower....and 5 of 6 nym VKs speed sliced.
Needless to say, I don't preslice enhanced weapons anymore (the customers hope of a good slice is far more valuable than the reality of the few that you might get on special items). I also recently dropped smuggler since it seems we'll never get new content. JTL, JTL fixes, combat "upgrade", and GCW revamp on the list already, combined with smuggling content already added to a class other than smuggler.... So basically, it'll be like half a year until there's a chance that smugglers might get some control over their most marketable skill.

Slicing may be irritating, but it is in no way, shape, or form as irritating as FP transfers. And spices? Don't even get me started...

Hey, I got me a 28% speed slice on my DE-10 too. Still looks pretty kickass when I'm riding around on a cu pa in a duster, though.
