SWG already has a profanity filter. Why not made a slicing spam filter. They way it would might work be somelike, when ever someone /yells sliceing or slice or sl1cing, some form or that word, it would add a number to a counter and once the counter got to a preset number in a certain preset time some Stormtroopers would show up and hassle the person. Just an idea, I personally don't like seeing Smugglers standing outside coronet or theed starports spamming that they are slicing.

Yeah .. but ... but ... I don wanna kill stormies. It's not *their* fault, they're just following orders. Besides, they can't hit anything anyway with those helmets on anyway
hrm, how about whatever security forces are avalible on that world instead?

*FDed smuggler stands up from a hill of corpses*
(to corpse of customer) "So what about my 10k?"

I do not like starport spammers either, but why single out slicers? the "ad" spamming or the "I want to buy this" spamming or the begging spamming, it is all annoying too. lol

if you dont like it ------> /ignore ----->its there for a reason. 
I was one of many smugglers to say we need visibility when slicing out in the open.

This is what I want to see. No more freelly breaking the law in middle of a starport. Slicing, transactions involving spice, etc. All should bring the attention of local cops. And not always those panzzyAzz 1k HAM types, carrying the blaster with the bent barrel.

Hmmm... I'm working on my second smuggler on Naritus. I spammed, "Slicing for free for XP" every90 seconds in order to get Slicing II under my belt -- that one line is hardly at90-second intervals is hardly likely to harm your game experience. (Although I know that modifying weapons and armor could be construed as illegal, it seems to me that theEmperorwould have little interest in someone unlocking a container that fell off a corpse -- maybe the issue would be with the homicide of the former owner? I fail to see howslicing containerswould be an illegal activity.)
I spammedafter I'd killedenough Meatlumps and/or Ragtag Kooks to get all the way from Unarmed II through Unarmed IV,looting as many containers as I could from them, and I begged friends to let me slice their containers. I also spent 80,000 credits of my own money, which is hard to earn at Novice Pistoleer/Novice Smuggler, to buy as many as possible off the bazaars. It took a week to get the necessary 60 containers to get to Slicing II - even after spamming for just 20 minutes two times. Would you really want to deny Novice Smugglers a workable way to get at least through Slicing II? I promise I'll never spam again now that I have it.

I try to do my part to prevent the need for spam.
1. Sell all of the crappy weapons I loot up on the bazaar dirt cheap
2.Same with locked containers. (OK, not dirt dirt cheap. But definitely not gouging for 6k per container.
But definitely not gouging for 6k per container.It is a bit of a catch-22... Making it easier for the up-and-comer means competition for your slicing business in the future. I did my slicing run long enough ago that I actually don't remember how I did all of it. Guess I just dumped lots of creds to get containers to round out what came as loot. And, fool of fools that I am... I did a bunch of it the hard way - no mol clamps! (This was for RP reasons.)
Frankly, the amount of smuggler-related spam I see is insignificant next to buff spam, loot spam, resource spam, spam spam SPAM!
