Ok since as a smuggler we cant smuggle it seems as if rou content has been withdrawn and is now based on our own creativity and forced rp.
Since we need to rp and "pretend" to smuggle surely this means that our titles of being a smuggler is just for cosmetic reasons and has very little to do with our credibility as a smuggler as any profession is able to smuggle by the definition of rp though they would lose out on the title.
To sum up we need smuggling missions and these MUST be good and worth our while otherwise were just a bunch of players who lack the mods and abilities for 1 on 1 combat as most of our specials seem to be a means to escape or avoid being killed the only special which i see as being offensive is last ditch and this again is used as an escape because you either hit and incap the opponent or you miss and die. I left reckless shot because its negative effects towards us negates any positvity this move has.
I like the idea of planet Mustafa seems like were getting more content as a whole which isnt a bad thing but if you gave me a choice i would say smuggling missions are the things most of us smuggler want and after so long in the waiting these MUST knock us off the chair or youll see a giant drop in the amount of smugglers in the game.
Right now ive taken master BH so i can get my own slicing components and have actual profession content, and looking at the stats it seems so has everyone else, also i have to say that i use my smuggler specials very rarely and when i do its more to see if they have any effect, low blow i dont notice any diference and overwhelming shot doesnt seem to make my states land any easier. As a smuggler/ bounty hunter when im in a tough fight I dont use ANY of my smuggler specials because as a BH i have a ranged kd, a bleed, a blind, stun, dizzy, a heavy hitting move, a decent defensive move, and a decent area attack if needed.
Is smuggler worth it anymore in:
PVE?
PVP?
RP?
Content?
Does the master smuggler title mean anything except you can go out and grind on Bols for a couple of hours?

I mainly use my smuggler to aid in the GCW - faction delegation and cheap bases. This has helped the rebel cause and has also lined my pockets nicely in the process
I also like being able to help friends and guildies by slicing their weapons. But as for actual 'smuggling', or any kind of combat, I don't use my smuggler char at all and agree these areas could and should be much better

I am a MBH/Msmuggler. I like to be able to slice my weapons and to help out other players by being able to slice for cheap.

As a new smuggler i am disapointed that we do not have our own missions to do like a BH.
These would open up a whole new area for us and give us all something to do when we get that 'mmmm, what shall i do' feeling.

Terminal slicing, weapon slicing, and last ditch have all served me well.

as far as smuggler being worth it I think that it is what you make it. I still enjoying lightly RPing my smuggler. He's great in group PvE and even better in group PvP (smuggler with a FT ftw). It all depends on what you want out of the game.

I didn't get into smuggler for the specials, the slicing or the spice. Hell, I got into smuggler for the style, pure and simple. Because in the end that's really what it's all about.
When most people are done with their day, they look around and realize that they just aren't all that and a bag of chips. They aren't unique, they aren't special. Smugglers on the other hand, despite everything, are all that and a bag of chips. We are unique, we are special. Sure we don't have content handed to us, that just means we have to build our own content. And that in the end makes me feel rather fulfilled, because it's something /I/ worked for, it wasn't just handed to me.
I smuggle folks around all the time, so what if it's all just rp'ed out, I still do it. Alot of people know me as the "go to girl" for just about anything they need. Not just because there's a good chance I'll have it, but because if I don't then I know where you can get it, and for cheep. I have two "friends lists", one's for actual friends and the others for contacts that I use in my business deals (and let me assure you, business is good). But I'm not just the person to hit up if you need to track down NS armbands, weapons and armor with the stats of gods, adk's and pearls at good prices. I'm also a person alot know they can call if they need that extra help in a more tangible way. Nuke a base, place a base, get 200 crates of Muon and Pixie from one of my places on Tat to bfe Lok.
I look at it this way, there's two kinds of smugglers. There are those who are in it for the spice/slice/special gig, and I'm not gonna knock those folks, and I'll admit I find them usefull from time to time. The other kind of smuggler, the kind of smuggler I am, I'm in it for the attitude.
And Smugglers all about attitude baby, it's the best thing we've got going for use these days. Remember, it's not a profession, it's a way of bloody life.
