Thread: Thought on selling faction...
Yeah, i haven't really lost business either... i have better things to do instead of afk farming when i'm in game... i'd rather slice.. er, enhance and do CS for that instead... much more personable that way and can get repeat business too...
I've decided to no longer offer faction... so thanks to all of you who helped me with this.. until of course AFK farming is done.. then that's different...
It doesn't bother me much because I'm not really in the faction selling business. It really doesn't matter to me because the people supposedly selling that low are never on anyway.
Sooner or later, they may realize that faction farming is killing the GCW. Right now, anybody can go buy unlimited faction bases, and hand them out to their freinds in order to control a planet. Lol, go log on to Starsider once. All the GCW planets are Imp controlled. That's not from fighting, that from groups going out and dropping 3 SF Tactical Centers each. Since it's hard to get people to go SF, due to the jedi, nobody is eliminating the bases.
I cruised across a planet the other day, and found that there are bases everywhere. This game is on the path to self-destruction, and only the devs can stop it, but they wont.

Based on most of the servers and the trade forums that i have visited, i would say the average price to sell fp is between 90 and 130... i know it varies from server to server... i sell Imp faction on the Valcyn server for 110/fp...
Someone on the Valcyn server is selling Imp faction for 44.44x/fp... (90K = 4 million)...
What do some of you smugglers think of this? A few of us believes it is afk farming, as they are able to do this within a couple of days... that is way below the cost of being able to buy it (whether Rebel or Imp) and with an inspiration buff still costs more than that...
By doing this undercuts ALL smugglers on the server and i'm sure some people are going to want to ask you to match this... i obviously cannot and will not farm for faction... i have better things to do in game.

I was thinking about maxing out my faction points also and start advertising that I sell faction points. Sounded like a good way to make a little extra money and maybe put a little more game in being a smuggler. That is until I looked at my guild chat and noticed a non-smuggler buddy advertising faction points on the guild chat. I was interested in what he was talking about as just a few day before he had only been a lower ranked person in the rebel army. He preceeded to explain his new macro and how great it was. Of course I compared him to AFK jedis and said I thought that was no better, and he countered with some spin from the devs saying it was ok and Blah Blah Blah.
Basically, made the same decision, just not worth my money to buy faction so that I can sell it, if one of my friends, that is not a smuggler, is doing it easily and probably going to undercut me on price without even knowing it. The only good thing about it is, that I have never been asked to sell someone faction yet anyway, so I didnt lose any business i guess
