I think most smugglers agree that contraband should not be allowed to be sold on the Bazaar. At lease I get that feeling from reading the forums.
However, what do people think if contraband (spices and sliced items) were no longer allowed to be listed on Merchant Vendors. Realistically, why would a Merchant Vendor who is making minimum wage (16cr/day) want to risk his life by breaking Imperial Law and stocking contraband. I think the vendors should "just say no".
I am upset that the player base takes sliced weapons and armor for granted. Sliced items have become a commodity. I want people to feel the consequences for using illegally modified weapons and armor. However, it’s the high-level Weapon and Armorsmiths who have helped to create the situation we have today. Many of them either have an ATL character that’s a smuggler, or a close friend who will slice 100s of items at a time.
As a smuggler, I want to smuggle. Since the developers have stated that we will not get player based smuggling, then I would like smugglers to be to focal point for contraband. If someone wants to get a sliced weapon, I want them to have to look for a smuggler to slice the item for them. I don’t want the customer to head over to their local Wal-Mart and pick a sliced weapon off the shelf.
I'd like to hear people’s opinion on this. Feedback welcome.

I agree with this. Smuggler stuff (sliced items and Spices) shouldn't be acquired from anybody but a Smuggler. In the same way Doctors can't sell buffs via a vendor, we shouldn't sell Spices via a vendor. It needs to be an in-person affair.

I disagree. Smugglers aren't pushers. They're the ones who get the stuff to the pushers. I say take the spice off the bazaar, and sliced weapons off the regular vendors, but allow special vendors to be set up (maybe just in Player Cantinas like another thread suggested) that can sell illegal goods. Most likely have Merchants place them like other vendors, Smugglers don't hire pushers either. If it seems that they need to be "paid" more, make their maintenance more than regular vendors. These would be the pushers and black-market sellers.
Besides, I'd hate to have 50 or more /tells before my loading screen was gone from people who not only wanted slices, but for me to sell them spice, too.

I agree that the tell hell would increase. But the movement on Flurry to up slicing prices to 10k per seems to be working. Some people may complain, but they will eventually hand over the money. Its nice to finally feel that people are starting to appreciate sliced weapons more that just a commodity item. I don’t really mind slicing for the public at 10k a pop. I never spam, just wear the tag. Business comes to you that way. And if your busy doing something else, a simple "Sorry, I’m not slicing now" is all that’s needed.
Hopefully when spices get re-vamped, they will also be something people will want to purchase again. And I don’t think I would mind keeping a couple of crates of spice around if I can sell them for 50k a crate.
