Thread: Does Feign Death ever fail?

I just gotDirty Fighting 1and so far its never failed. Have tried it on different mobs and they are always fooled.
Just for fun, I wouldrun intoMantigrue Screecher (11k ham, Heavy Armor, hit for 800+ dmg) lairs and kill 3-4 of them by bleeding them and feigning death. My character is in holocron-hell transition, so I don't even have any good attacks. Why should I be able to solo these?This doesn't seem quite right.
I hope on tougher mobs this skill actually fails sometimes.

It failed just hardly ever does. It failed quite a few times for me when I only had DF 1 though. Think it fails when your fighting multiple enemies.

I just got DF2 today... and FD has failed on me lots of times... but that's always when I'm hitting mobs.
What I really hate is when FD fails AND the bleed fails... then it's incap sleepytime for me

it rarely fails, the only real time it fails is when i'm fight force crystal hunters and am try to get my edge in with the other 10 ppl shooting (they seem to just keep shooting me while on the ground)

I've had it fail a few times. Of course that times it's always against a DBing npc or mob *sigh*.
Most of the time it works as long as I'm solo or I'm the mobs only target. In a group it fails a little more often, but it's still not failed on me more than 6 or 7 times.

failed like once to me and that's outta like dunno....some hundred succesful uses of it, maybe i also just got lucky so far

I am trying to get a better understanding of Feign Death. I see that as you go up the tree you get +XX to your Feign Death but was curious if it has a chance of fail? Was not sure if the higher your FD was the less time it takes to start it or if it was soemthing else. I read the FAQ and it talked about less chance of fail but I have talked to several smugglers now and they all say they have never failed on a FD but they have been incapped before it had a chance to start.

I've never had it fail - but if there is lag and you dont hit it in time - you're a goner 
my advice - in pvp hit it earlier than you think you will need it - you can always get back up
in pve, you can usually wait a little longer

either it fails, or there is a silent delay they put in. I've been in PVP a few times this week. I've feigned maybe one of the times b/c I logged into my city being (unsuccessfully) raided by some Rebels. I was unbuffed and had no armor on and the attack music started. So I hit feign as soon as I could. Took till the 3rd instance of it and me down to around 100 points on each HAM to feign. When I finally did, I had 0h,0a,200m.

i failed once on the corvette, i went down but the ST just kept on shootin at me then DBed heh heh, man... good times

Over the course of 10.5 months, feign death has failed me five times. When it does fail, it still costs you HAM, but you just keep fighting.
