Thread: Smuggler buying faction and turning it into Combat xp?!

I heard this somewhere..that you can buy faction and convert it into combat xp?? I have never heard about this...but which faction are we talking about? Imp faction type? or some other faction...could some smuggler give me the details of this? or am I mistaken?

Smuggler's can buy faction until their faction points reaches, up to and including, 500fp. Both Imperial and Rebel faction can be bought, but the smuggler doing the buying is required to be of the same faction. Faction can then be given to someone by using the /delegatefaction command, although the ration of faction you transfer to the amount your target receives depends on what rank you are, the high the rank, the closer you get to 1:1

As for purchasing combat XP from recruiters in the form of 'training' for the cost of x number of FP, anyone that's not neutral can do that.. but at a cost of 90c per FP (smugglers charge more because of the terrible tedium and time consumption selling FP takes up), it's really not worth it unless you're rich, lazy and want to go afk for a while.

I beleive than anyone can use Faction Points to gain experiance in certain skills, at a 1 to 1 ratio. And of course, Smuggers can buy FP...

Last time I checked, it wasn't a 1:1 ratio on faction to xp. However, I could be mistaken, I'll add this to my personal stickies long enough to test this out tomarrow.

Okay, I checked, and while it is one point of experience per point of faction traded, faction is still very expensive, unless you go out and grind it yourself, which will likely get you the experience you need anyway.

Oh certainly it's expensive... but, considering that you could farm Faction and Combat XP at the same time, then convert your faction XP into another form... it's an added bonus.
