So I'm running missions out of Dant, trying out my new armour (wookiee). So I'm an hour in, and a guy sends me a tell to slice 13 weps. I tell him the price, with a slight volume discount (normally 5k a pop, but 13 weps in one shot? I like garnering a clientele). So he agrees, I finish my missions and show up. As I'm slicing his stuff, getting decent slices I might add, another guy /tells me asking if I'll slice his 3 weps. I give him the stock price. He then asks if I do "the special slices" - No, exploit. "Oh well, guess I'll have to settle." *sigh* Then he says if the slices are "decent" he'll want his armour sliced as well, whats the discounted rate? I tell him we'll talk, I am extremely busy. I finish the guys 13 weps and we trade up. He actually tips me 75k, 10k MORE than if I had charged him the regular 5k (65k for the 13). Wow - I ask him if he's sure, he says, yeah, slices were good, etc. Thank him profusely.

Send in the clowns.

So I tell this otherguy back. And wait. And wait. Watching my buffs disappear into the nether. Counting down from 10 to myself he shows up. We discuss a price. I enjoy bartering. We settle, he tosses me all his stuff to get done. Talkative fellow.

So I do his weps. Not bad, got a 33% damage on a gaderifdi - "Wow wish that had been on the stun baton". Then came the armour slices.

We all know what it's like. Effect 19. Effect 22. Effect 29. He says "Wow, you're running below average there".

/holdinrage.

Encum 38. Encum 39. But then he starts." What kind of tools are you using?"

*sigh*

So I waste more of my precious time telling him that I used some of my 992 Conducitivity copper, which damn near made me cry to waste on these tools, since GM told us what we all already knew.

"Well when I was Master Smuggler, I found the quality mattered. Maybe it's a species thing, cause you're a wookiee?"

Comp Chest - effect 22% - Sometimes the server Gods smile down on you and you don't feel quite so bad.

Maybe it's cause your a wookiee. The gall. Don't like the slices, GO GET MASTER SMUGGLER AGAIN YOURSELF!

as one, if not the oldest master smuggler on Sunrunner I get a tell like this at least once a week
