Thread: State of the Game Closing out 2004...

I don't know why but I was so disappointed in this. I realized they aren't giving out schedules until what's next is next, but gimme a break. I really hope the bulleted list at the bottom of it isn't a new timeline...but I don't think it is.


Looks like fluff mostly, to me. It's by Bo Shek so I'd imagine it's just a PR thing anyway. Why I'm looking for information in it is beyond me......then I remember the last leaked State of the Game. Yeah, it's just PR. The smart move would have been to give a nod to us, the Squad Leaders, Rangers, and maybe Commandos...tell 'em they're still in mind and all and remind them they're right after the Combat Upgrabalavamp.


Oh well. Can anyone see any hidden meanings orsuggested items that I missed? Or is this about as usefull to us as them posting a picture of used toilet paper? I'm thinking the latter.

Yep. Good luck finding hard info anymore. All hard info is set in stone so by the time you know anything it's too late to change it.

Reads like he's on the outs or something. There was something pretty empty about it, beyond the PR fluff, which is to be expected. Past ones have been much more substantive and invested in the game than this one read. They should have had TH or JustG write it -- they are clearly more passionate about the quality of the game. Even JustG's FanFest apology to the smugglers shows how much moreinvested he is.


I hope I'm not getting into bannable territory, but I find it fascinating how clear it can be who the real SWG fans are in the Dev team are: TH and JustG are some obvious examples of who the fans are. Not that one has to be to do an adequate job, for some folks it's just a job in a desirable job industry.


I'll stop here.
