Does anyone else think this is overpowered? I mean at the moment my toon is Master Smuggler and 3 1 0 0 in BH(CL59) and I was able to solo a Dark Jedi Master npc at CL259 twice just by useing that root and crit shot from BH.

Just wondering if any of your other smuggler guys think its a bit...you know uber

as long as not all smugglers goin to BH too, I am pretty sure we all are happy like it is, cause cc shot is the only way for me to get my ass out of a fight alive, if my enemys are too strong. But thanks to the many many BH r0xx0r out there, maybe they take this shot from us... or nerf it to death.

oh i'm strickly a MBH/MS for RP'ing features.

Even got a YT-1300 decorated with a smuggler themed stuff(made some hidden compartments with some jars of Spice and sliced weapons)

The concussion shot is nice, but I just think there is a little something wrong with rooting a high level npc for 40 seconds and blasting it to death and then redoing it 41 seconds after you rooted him

I didn's say that YOU are such a BH r0xx0r, but there are enough of them. Just wait till the CC-Shot works like it SHOULD do (break if target gets damage), and ya won't have any trouble with it anymore. CC-shot is ment to take a run, and I hope they will fix that soon. I hate it, that these guys can still attack after cc shot, mesa don t like to get shot in the back.

Oh, and try your tactics on a strong NPC that uses not only melee, but also ranged, and see if it still is so uber ^^

/snicker

on other forums there's severalignorant hopelessCU-noobs that swear soloing a blue is now completely impossible for any prof.

hardest I tried was lvl 82 till now, and as long as they come alone, absolurely no problem ^^ even without cc shot

I thought I read somewhere that high end mobs will be resistant to rooting and snaring.

Funny thing.

I was testing my moves w/ crowd control on some gungans last night and I used Concussion with an LBC.

I rooted my target and one of his buddies (I could tell by the root sign and those giant assed rings that come with the effect). Two other ones caught fire and headed right for me.

I fired another shot (probably Adv. Critical) and one of the "rooted" guys runs up and kicks me. The rings were still floating around him and everything.

Did they change it?

I gotta work at it a little more. I don't know how good we are at controling crowds though- maybe it's just me.

I don't think they changed it... i've noticed a lot of mob sliding though that i cant figure out if its lag (i think its rooted at one point, but it was really at another point) or if theres something else going on (chance for a successful move or some movement when something else hits it)

as for nerfing.. .i don't see it being needed

* in p v. creature it doesn't help any melee people in your groupIf they're gonna damage the mob they're in attack range

* anything with ranged can still hit you, at that point its an escape move and nothing else.

* missing SUCKS in high end pve if you're fighting somethign that you have to rely on this move or die in a few hits.

If one can solo a DJK, then my thought would either give that guy some ranged move, make him immune, or maybe a better solution, bump his regen to the point where it can deal with 1 player pounding on it all night and day.

I haven't pvp'd enough to really see it in action there, but there are other ways to deal with the issue then nerfing it (chance not to stick, recoveries, etc)
