On my first attempt to slice a weapon, I installed the fan and sliced opposite of what it told me. Nothing came up after that. And now when I try to slice a weapon, it says that I am already slicing something? Anyone know what this is?

I just hit slicing 3 and was so happy I could now slice my clients armor. It wasn't long till I got my first customer wanting me to slice his chitin chestplate. So I went ahead sliced it ( yes I did use a clamp) everthing seemed normal, I got the system mesage saying I had successfully reduced incumberance by 17% and recieved 250XP. However my client could not re-equip his armor. Upon futher examination the chestplate's condition had dropped to zero and was now broken. anyway I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a known bug or not? any Info would be helpful.

I've seen people selling armor at 0 condition and then people buying and not equiping until after it's sliced; therefore, the illusions that the slice created the problem is assumed. This truly may be a bug for you, but I always look at the state of items before I slice them for this reason and ran into this a few times. People are not always aware of what they buy.

Yep be very careful of zero condition anything.
I let my first Scout Blaster hit 0 before trying to repair it, and then it went to *minus* condition!
I queried a weaponsmith who told me that 0 condition gear is *supposed* to be repairable, but that there is a bug that actually drives the condition to a negative when you try to repair at zero condition.
So slice above zero condition or hand it back and advise your customer it's time to shell out once again.

Slicing is a gamble now. You have to hope that you won't "over modify" your item (this goes especially for armor). Also, I noticed that it's posible to get a "failure" on a slice now. Kind of weird.

I sliced a set of scout trooper armour, and now it is worse off because of encumbrance. DO the penalties stack? Also, how is it possible to have a set of armour that is too advanced for someone who mastered 2 ranged profs? I am master smuggler, pistoleer, and 0040 BH. I should be able to wear any armour because I am at the top, yet now I am out alot of money and FP because I tried to improve my gear.
Also... Why cant i post with firefox?

Yes, i only had 1 30%ish slice after CU. more failures as well.
And on weapons i get ALOT of speedslices now, damage is rare.
