Okay first off I think everyone know's I'm pro CU. I think it's made SWG a better game and I'm having a blast.

That said went down to my local GAME store today and picked up a copy of guild wars after having a mate and finding out there was no Fees. So if I don't like the game I've only wasted £30 and not £30 + a couple of months subsciption. I don't really no jack about the game to tell you the truth First time I've ever baught a game knowing absoultly nothing about it, not even read to back of the cover yet

Before I get started I was wanting to know if anyone other smugglersplaying it,my in-game name is Ender Valcyn

I play it too. If you dont like it pm me and ill buy ur account. My friend and I share it, and I went home for the weekend, was in a huge battle, then got the big disconnect because he wanted to log on.

I've been considering it, partially because I've heard good things about it, partially because there's no monthly fees. However each consecutive chapter comes with a price. Luckily, when the next chapter comes out, you don't have to get it to keep playing, but you do miss out on more content.

I love guild wars. I played beta for a long time and thoroughly enjoy it.

The world is freaking huge so you have tons of quests and area to explore...

Cool parts of the game:

- No training to level up
- No loot campers
- No forced grouping
- NPC group members
- No monthly fee
- Can instantly switch servers to meet friends, no worring about friends not playing your server

There are plenty of other cool things, but the game over all just kicks major butt.

Raylonis Del'Rathin - Elder Chef, Dancer - Retired / Canceled July 2005.
Leader of the fallen Guild, Veil of Silence.

Without the past, the future would never happen.
Believes in a better future for SWG.

I've been playing it extensively since it went live.

I love it.

The pros:

1. I have yet to find any bugs.

2. I have yet to crash.

3. The graphics are nicely done.

4. It has a lot of quests and missions and you can group with players or take along NPCs as team mates.

The cons:

1. It's a bit shallow in that there isn't any player crafting nor huge amount of character customization.

2. I really don't like the tightly restricted terrain. But then they did the same thing with Wookie World in SWG so maybe it's an industry trend.

3. I REALLY hate that outside of towns you only see the players in your group. I've never liked the 'separate instances of the world' idea though I understand the reasoning. It makes for a less interesting world IMO.

While I understand the need for a CU I still maintain they threw out the baby with the bathwater. SWG has way less depth and they are slowly but certainly making the world less immersive by obsoleting entertainers and crafters. Right now SWG seems like a splintered uncohesive game to me.

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Why are there Jedi, I don't know why.

A friend of mine spent Friday looking all over Manchester looking for a copy... other than that, I've not had anything to do with it
