Just curious, why Keld and Blair? Did they talk about Smuggler at FF this year?

Also, I totally support more Devs posting more often. Blix has massive fan support because he is allowed to post a lot and does. That says to me that this is a good thing and should be encouraged.

According to GreenMarine's blog, his work has been passed on to them, wether that includes any smuggler revamp stuff in development is purely hypothetical. Or low on their to-do list. Or non-existent.

On GreenMarine's blog he mentioned David White and Thomas Blair as two good developers with a strong sense of community who are currently working at SOE. They've not been mentioned as specifically taking up where GM left off, but GM made some complimentary remarks regarding them. Hence the desire to draw their attention over here.

This is from GM blog:

"Additionally, I have to say that all of the work I was assigned at SOE will be carried on. David White and Thomas Blair, in particular, are very intelligent designers with strong work ethics and a good since of community. I think you can expect them to bring a lot of good to the smuggler profession. Don't hinge expectations on a single designer. SOE has plenty of good designers to carry on the torch."

Ohhhhh, ok. Well, for those of you that don't know:

Blair: Producer, has been around from the very beginning, is very "virtual world" conscious as was Holo

Keld: Came on doing BE andEnt, headed the first Jedi huge deal, headed the first huge version of the CU, is totally brilliant and has a Cheshire Cat kind of way of talking to players, hehe... no clue what his title is now

And I thought T Blair was that guy from England. Didn't know he worked at SOE, too. Makes me glad I live in the States.

As a Brit might i say that if they put this guy in charge of SOE we'd get endless communication. None of it would be true, but we'd get endless communication.

Blair made a few posts about the Combat Upgrade... he seems like a nice person. He also gives the impression that he is looking into making the game more adventurous. This might just be benefitial if he takes over the job.

How can you have a "strong sense of community" and nobody in the community knows who you are? And you haven't bothered to come HERE and say even "Hi" to the community?

Maybe he's talking to some other community? There are heaps of them around, even some about cooking food or training cats for example!

No really, if you are there, why don't you get permission and let us know what you are working on and what you are trying to achieve in the next two months or so.

We are dying to know (literally. Some of have grown very old waiting)

How hard can it be.
If i am working on something, i am always happy to share it with interested people.

Come on get clearance and start the commmunication - half an hour each, each day.

Okay,

Keldarin (D. White) actually did come out today and posted a very good, very long CH revamp Doc.

Now if we can get him to gain some visibility in other Prof Forums as well.
Maybe not all is lost.
