Well, for one I think something that the devs really missed out on was making spices "addictive". You should be able to eliminate the "downer" effects of spice by taking more spice right before your downer hits. However if you do keep taking spices in chain like this, once you run out of spice or decide to stop taking them, you will OD and corpse rather than have a simple downer. This would facilitate you to make attempts to OD near a doc.

Also, you should be able to get the effects of multiple spices at the same time. (instead of one at a time) The idea is that at the master level of smuggler, the smuggler will have some sort of "custom spice" module. In this custom spice module, the smuggler will be able to use 5 other spices as input. For example, he could use 3 mouns and 2 pixies as input. With the addition of a bio engineered enhancement, he could formulate a custom spice which would greatly rival that of a doc buff or chef food or the hardcore could stack the spices with foods and buffs for an even more hardcore PVP experience.

Using this concept in concert with the "addictive" nature of the spice, this would make custom spices valueable, but you would need a large quantity to keep going. (You should also be able to name this custom spice yourself)

Im not sure about this idea, but:

Spices would not be sold on a bazaar or stored in inventory (except smugglers should be able to have them in inventory) When a smuggler gave a player spice, rather than going into their inventory, it would instantly be consumed. This would cause groups who wanted to use spices to have a smuggler around to "administer" the spices. (This would keep spices form becoming too overpowered and mainstream.)

Keep spices cheap, plentiful, and easy to make like they are now, just make them addictive and give the smuggler the ability to mix custom spices.

Also I think it would be cool if while under the influence of spice, people developed random moods from the existing mood pool: Spices are mood altering, so some people would become randomly angry, happy, sad, or lustful (there are a great variety of moods under the mood tab) when under the influence of spices.

The professions of this game are like 32 spice fiends in the same room with a few fences. Everyone is screaming for their their fix. If you try to give everyone a little bump at the same time, nobody will be satisfied and the screaming will never end. If you single out each one really hook them up , you will slowly end the screaming. I know my turn is coming, but it still does not ease the pain of realizing I am nobody's favorite ho. Sounds good, I think its great except the whole smuggler for spice. That seems too complicated and cumbersome. I dont wanna have to travel with a group so they can get spice; didnt do it for the "Crackdown" why would I do it for spice?
