I'm so upset with you. You actual did some smuggling and roleplay. Guess the game hasn't beaten them down yet. When ever I try to role play it's... "Look stop messing around..."

Great story! I loved it! Ya, when I try to roleplay, I notice I'm the only one doing it and it's just no fun. I would join an unofficial roleplay server (if it still exists), but I have too many friends and too much put into my character to leave. I can't remember the last time I saw someone roleplay...Absolutely NO ONE does anymore! GAH! Smuggling as it stands is like the GCW. There is no such thing, unless you make it happen. The only difference is that it is harder to make smuggling "happen".

Roleplaying's a good thing. I usually try to roleplay, but there's just no way to RP everything in an online game. When I'm speaking (not using /tell) I speak in character. This is not too hard, since Renn's human and doesn't have any unusual speach patters. He'll greet with a "Hello!" and often thanks you with a "Thankee." unless it's bunsiness, then he's all "Thank you for your business." Often tells people to "Enjoy." their slice and so on, and I try to avoid out-of-game or game mechanics in my speech. Anything requiring that stuff (slice % for example) is strictly in /tell. And in any case, no abbreviations (plz, r u, etc.)

I know some people don't go for the RP, but let's all make an effort to start, then try to adjust your RP level for the individual you're interacting with. This person happened to jump right into it so I went with it. If he didn't I'd probably have had him do something else for me and he'd have just gotten the ride to Tyrena, just for being so polite.

Great story, DRWolfe... uh... Mr. Jeret. I met someone last night who was going to roleplay. He asked me to train him in Unarmed IV and so I did, but I noticed as I taught that he had none of the languages learned. After teaching him UA4, I tried to teach him one of the languages, but he politely refused my offer and responded... "Don't need them. This is my new character and I'm going to roleplay him.". Then he ran off into the night.

very cool little story. Its alot of fun doing a little RP with n00bs, most are cool and just dont understand how the game works. Here is my story:

I finish the corvett and get turned overt, i dont see this but figure it out when i hit kor vella (place lite up with red dots and blaster fire as a rolled into town). Now im not buffed, havewoundsand its a long way back to the rebel base so i deside to have some fun. My plan.....sneak into star port head home (tat) get to Anchorhead go covert and chill. Im hoping to not run into a 1337 imp cause i will die for sure. So send pet in as destraction and manage to sneek into kor star port and deside to go to mos eisley thinking (with it now being a n00b spawning grounds) no Pvp Imps will be there and its a short ride to AH from there. So i roll up on eisley all decked out in black, master tag up and n00bs everywhere. questions pop up all around and before i know it ive got a crowd forming. Great i wanted low visablity, if an Imp is here he will find me for sure. What happend next is classic.....

Everyone is asking questions so i say. "I would love to stay and help everyone but right now Im being chased by the Empire and if I get cought Im a dead man... Wow's and how cool's poped up all over the place. Answered a few questions pulled out my swoop and shot off into the seting sun. Feeling super cool I made it to AH, no Imps went covert and made it home. One of my more fun RP/n00b nights.

This story makes me want to goto Espa and find some newb... but instead im going to go be a newb on test center.
