I was in Mos Eisly, just getting back from doing some for Jabba the Hutt. I get stopped by a random Twi'Lek player who asks if I'll do a slice or four. I quote him and he agrees, and we begin to do the trade and slice. As I'm handing him back his armor and weapons, someone challenges me to a duel. I finish the trade and turn to see who it is.
I see a guy currently wearing the base marksman outfit, with his green helper droid, brandishing a survival knife. It looks kind of like a setup... like if I open up, suddenly he'll whip out composite armor and Teras Kasi my butt into oblivion. But like with anything, I went 'What the hell.' I accepted the dual and immediately opened up with Bleed Shot and then kept body shooting him. He eventually got the idea that this was a bad idea and started running. I pursued and eventually incapped him.
I didn't DB him. That woulda been cruel, but my customer and I stood over his body and talked shop. He was very impressed with the slice work (which is good, because I had zero influence on the results), and he added me to his friends list and said I was his personal slicer now. He loved the entertainment.
In retrospect, I shoulda FD'd on him. Then he'd get the wrong idea and challnege someone even less forgiving than I.
The weird thing is, my assailant never uttered a single word.
Oh, and the night before I sliced an entire set of composite armor, with high results and 8/9 of them being encumberance slices. Whee!
One more thing.</Uncle> A lot of my customers have been very sympathetic. A lot of them seem aware of the general problems with the Smuggling profession and many have wished me (us) luck in our future revamp. Ever since I started out in the slicing business, anyone who's actually been a customer has not given me any hassle on low slices or anything. So you know we're boned when other professions think we're boned.

I don't give smuggler's grief about low slices, because I know they don't have any control over the outcome. I don't necessarilly consider the profession nerfed, it just is what it is.
